I'm 16 and there's a new target by my house. It's not open yet, but I don't know if I can work there, being 16. Also, I was wondering when to send an application.
I'm guessing you do it well before the store opens.

It may depend upon the store. My mom used to work in retail - Kohl's. It was 18. But when she transferred to a different store it was 16. So, check with the store near you first. I think that allot of it depends upon if they are getting allot of applicants. If they have trouble finding people willing to work there than they may lower the hiring age. Retail tends to have a high turn over.
