Some woman called me and said she liked my resume for a job I applied for but I would need to send her in my personal documents like SS#, license # all by fax. I asked her if I needed an interview and she said she would have to verify my info first. Should I be skeptical??

This info is only necessary when you start filling out tax forms. I would notify Monster that their site is being misused.

Don't give her your info!! ANYONE who calls YOU to get your SS# shouldn't have it!! :O

I got a reply to my resume and it was a freaking survey based on the jobs I already had. They were trying to open a comptetitive shop to one I had worked in, no I am not mistaking it for an interview. He wanted sales #s and quotas and such for the company I worked for. I asked if there was a position and told me,no I am just a researcher.

YES!!! You SHOULD be skeptical. She doesn't need any of your personal info until you've had an interview. The woman is trying to scam you. I hope you didn't send her any of it.

NO!!!! don't do that...potential employers. know that they are not even supposed to ask things like that..especially over the phone...just say you don't give out personal information over the phone.........if she asks you to mail it...don't do that either..you may want to see on the site if there is a number or something where you can contact them and report it...identity theft is a big problem !!! and she asked all the right answers for it.........
