Tattoos - March 2007

Will I be able to swim the next day? When I sweat through the tattoo will it be in color? When new hair grows through the tattoo will it be in color? How much will it cost to get the work I'm having done this weekend lasered off next weekend? Will I cry like a little girl or squeal like a pig when the needles hit my sensitive skin? Am I a runner? Will I have to be restrained? Will my 12NI group peeps miss me if I die under the needles?

Ok heres the issue I want a tattoo that really represents me on the tattoo It has to include my deceased father I don't want a regular tat like everyone else got so I'm trying to come up with one so If anyone has any ideas please help please be serious because this will mean alot to me this will be with me and on my body forever. I can think of a couple but they are to plain I want something extravegant!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!

got a new tat last week and the scabs are starting to fall off, in some places the red is really vivid but in others its really pink! is this normal? will it heal to a deeper red?

I just got a tattoo on my foot on St. Patty's day. I was wondering if it is ok to use sunscreen on it during the healing process? If so, what is the right SPF? 15..30..or higher?? Please help..First tat..wanna keep it beautiful!

and by receptionist i mean greeting customers, taking money and setting them up with an artist, i was just wondering what all a receptionist at a tattoo shop does. the tattoo shop i always go to is hiring and im ganna try to get on friday 5 30 to 9 and saturday 12 to 9, it will be something fun and i could make extra $$$

when i first met my hubby he didnt like my tats at all.i only had 2 then.he hated it when i got another and another and so on.he even said that its a turn off for girls to have tatts on their arms.which i have.he swore he would never get one.well i talked him into it and now of course he wants more.hes even supportive of me wanting to get more.my question is has anyone else had problems with their significant other not liking that they have tats.and how has that changed or has it.

I have been wanting a tattoo on the back of my neck for a while now i just want some ideas of what word i should get. Im a diabetic and i was gunna put believe on my neck because you have to really watch out for things and just be happy everyday your alive. what other words would you think that would look good?just give me your opinions please no bad comments or smart @ss answers. Hi, I was wondering if any of you ever used this stuff? I've been through a few different inks and I just heard about this brand.... it seems like everybody's heard of it through the show Miami Ink... but I don't want a brand of ink just cuz some guys on a tv show use it, even though their stuff comes out pretty good... it might not be the only ink brand they use... so I'm not gonna buy based on that... Also, I've been doing pretty deep good black outlines with Pelikan ink and I was considering buying some of that Kuro Sumi stuff... is that any better?..... just askin before I spend loads of money on inks that don't work......

Anyone know of a really good place for a portrait tattoo in illinois. My tattoo guy is great but never does portraits and i'd like to find the best around. Just thought I should add the tattoo is only somewhat of a portrait, its my Dad sitting on his motorcycle on a slight angle.

What would it look like if someone got a tattoo entirely in white ink? Would it even show up at all?

I wanted to get a tattoo of a verse in Sanskrit, but I was thinking of ways to make it more unique... I'm caucasian and rather pale, at that; how well would white ink show up on me?

I seen flash art at a local tattoo parlor, but I don't really like the parlor they are in. I asked if I could purchase them but the owner told me that was not possible. The Flash was of baby dragons. One was eating a cookie(purple), one was breathing fire(green), and one was just laying down(grayish). I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find these. I would love to get them.

I know the risks , but ive have done my research there are lots of people who have had tattoos over keloids and there was little to no problem. i have several tattoos already in other places on my body and they did not have any problems. I need a tattoo artist preferably in texas please.

It feels like the inside has healed and I can't push the bulb on the end of the nose stud(they used a straight one as opposed to the corkscrew style). Not sure what to do...should I leave it to heal with my stud in this 'pocket' now and get kind of 'repierced' to break through the healed through part later...or should I be trying to get this repierced now...I only had this piercing done a week ago and it is starting to get red and irritated from me poking around trying to see why the bulb wasnt through the skin on the inside....

My tattoo artist told me I could use Curel lotion (no-scent kind), but then later he told me I could also use neosporin. Would neosporin be okay to use all the time?

I got my tattoo on wensday march 7th 2007 and tomorrow is my 17th birthday and my grandmother was gonna take me to holiday inn to go swimming, obviously for my birthday, My tattoo is all done peeling, has been for almost a week now. II've been tossing around a few different ideas for what would be my first tattoo, and I would want a significant amount of blue in the design. I've read about allergic reactions and such to the ink, and it seems it's more common with blue ink. How rare or common is it?
