Tattoos - March 2007

I am going to get a tattoo of a beautiful flowering magnolia tree on my back. I've wanted a tree tattoo for years and years.
I just can't decide if I should get it between my shoulder blades or on my lower back.
Lower back = Tramp stamp! But, I want to make the roots spread out a little bit across the lower back right above the booty...
Between shoulder blades = I won't be able tp get the roots spread out...becuae it will look stupid to have roots all across the middle of my back!
What do you think, where on my back woult this look best??

I need a cross to cover up some gay tattoo I got a long time ago to go with a latin quote, the cross will be on my ribs about 7".
Also looking for an oringal koi fish to cover up an even more horrible tat on my upper back, needs to be at least 6" dia. If interested please let me know, open to any ones ideas, thank you in advance.

please could anyone help. i am 34 yrs i have a lil girl of 3yrs n a lil boy of 17 weeks. i cant decide what 2 have! I want one that means something to me. i am very outgoing n have a laugh, i already have a tattoo near my ankle, its tribal with a rose around it (bit hard 2 explain) but its cool looks great. dont regret it either there are so many out there 2 choose from!!!. thanks

I recently got a new tattoo. ( I already have several) I had never previously had a problem with the ointment I always used but this time around the tattoo extends over the inside of my elbow and I seemed to break out horribly, gettin little pimples all over the area of the tattoo. Now I was worried it was infected and when I showed it to my artist he said it appears to have been irratated by the A&D I used. I never had this happen before . He suggested that I switch to cocoa butter lotion and it is getting much better. Now My question is this- I am planning on gettin this piece finished up in a few weeks. Would using cocoa butter from the start in this area be bad? I dont know why but it just seems that using a white lotion on a fresh tattoo would screw up the ink wouldnt it?

Last time I got my belly-button pierced, they put in a CBR ring after & told me that when I clean it to rotate it to make sure I get the stuff inside.

I got it re-pierced yesterday & had them put in a curved barbell. Should I try to move this one (up & down ) when cleaning it? It really doesn't have that much room to move, but, should I try anyways?

I am wondering for the professional tattoo artists, have to have tattoo themselves on their bodies, when they do the tattoo business or else show off tattoo to their customers?
Does it effects any to the customer if the professiona artist does not have his/her tattoo on the body?
Asking to both of the tattoo artist and the the customer who did or intends to do the tattoo.....

So I want to get a tattoo of a bluebird flying holding a chain with a cross and a ring on it in it's beak (the cross and ring belonged to my grandparents). I want it on my lower back but the thing is I already have a tattoo of a lily on the right side of my lower back so I don't know where to put the bird for it not to look awkward...

I just recently got a tattoo on my lower back last week and I've been using vitamin A+D ointment to relief the itch but it doesn't really work. I have some Sarna anti-itch steroid-free lotion with me but I dont' know if it's okay to use it or not. Any idea anyone?

My tattoo was done with really viberant blues and greens. However, the tattoo started to flake off and the colour underneath is really faded. Is this part of the healing process or is my tattoo just fading already?! I will be heading to see my tattoo artist on the weekend but would like some help before then!

I plan on getting a tattoo covering my entire right shin. First of all, what will be the difference in pain seeing as there's not much skin on top of the bone? Also, I have heard about tattoo fading, how much would one like this fade and what can be done to stop the fading? Anything else you think I should know, feel free to add.
