Yes its normal... You should be able to go back with in a certain amount of time and get a free touch up done.. I got a lower back tattoo done 2 weeks and 1 day ago.. and mine peeled and lost a little bit of color. Which is normal. Check with your artist to see if your able to get a free touch up done.. you should be able too. but dont stress its ok and its normal. Enjoy your new tattoo

In some cases it depends on the type of ink that was used. I have an abstract piece on my one forearm with quite a bit of red in it. It's about 10 years old now, and the red is still as bright (and its RED!!) as it was the day I got it. I have a few other pieces with red that faded to a dark pink during the healing process.

Talk to the tattoo artist once its completely healed. If the ink pulled out, or faded for some reason, you can most likely get it touched up free of charge (or for a minimal set-up fee).

For some people absolutely. The pigmentations in some people's skin doesnt take to certain colors. Reds will turn pinks, blues will turn a blue green color. Some people it isn't a probably.. it's just how your skin reacted to the color. May not stick at all, or may just need another layer of coloring to set in your skin..I had the same thing happen to me.. let it heal up completely, and go back to the tattoo artist, most often they will give you a touch up on the color that didn't stick for free.

Yes it is normal. I had a tat done about 7 yrs ago on my anchle and i mean it really hurt but it was well worth it. Yes the color is okay but after it does heal and you want it to be more red then just go back and they will fix it for you. No tattoo place wants to have a customer with a tat that they are not happy with.
After it heals just go back and let them see it and they will fix it for you FREE of CHAGE!!!!

If you go back once it is all healed up, any reputable tattoo shop will fix it for you for no charge. It happens a lot that certain colors don't "stick" like they should. It could be for a number of reasons... one being cheap ink.

depending on the color/pigments in your skin, red ink tattoos will appear pink at first. it also depends on the actual "red" ink the tattoo artist is using. sometimes "red" is actually "red orange".

a cousin of mine is a cafe au lait complexion and parts of the red ink in her tats appearred orange at first. but they look more red now.

if it remains pink after a month, go back to get the red sections refilled.

I fully admit having winced a couple of times while getting a tattoo. But never have I screamed in agony. My sister-in-law was squeezing her middle-school aged son the entire time she was getting her lower back tattoo. So yeah, some editing is going on-ESPECIALLY with tattoo virgins.

Each skin holds color differently. Like the others have said, go get that tattoo touched up! Any reputable artist should do so free of charge as long as you followed his/her care instructions! Good luck!

totally normal!

My tatt went from black to dark grey...not so happy about it, but they do say you often need touch ups.

My best advice is go back while you're still in the time period to get free touch ups. I didn't and now Im kicking myself because i'll have to pay again and find a new artist since mine died in a motorcycle crash. :(

tattoo is the first step to be a candidate for local tumour, so be careful, may be now you have a local reaction if it's new, but usually it's normal reaction
