II've been tossing around a few different ideas for what would be my first tattoo, and I would want a significant amount of blue in the design. I've read about allergic reactions and such to the ink, and it seems it's more common with blue ink. How rare or common is it?

It seems that there are more allergic reactions to other colors than blue. More so with reds and in fact, I have not heard of anyone reacting to blue. Blue also holds the longest in the skin. It is the strongest of the three primary colors.

I agree with the others, red is the color most people seem to be allergic too. Blue seems to be accepted by the skin pretty easily. A majority of my tattoos are surrounded by blue.

while you're relating the old timers who've tattoos that now look blue it incredibly is in all risk in part to do with the actuality that pores and skin loses elasticity as you age, so the tattoo form of "spreads" and lightens up. although, a black tattoo on youthful, healthful pores and skin might probable in basic terms seem blue if it have been a blowout style of subject. Blowouts can now and returned look blue. Black pigment it incredibly is properly utilized would desire to look black, even after it certainly fades.
