Woohoo! Congrats Rider! I hope that you love it....I'll try to make sure I call you and say WHAT'S UUUUUUPPPPPPPP?!
To address your questions...
1. You can swim in the ocean...the salt will cleanse out that tat - it's a fresh wound...has to stay clean you know!
2. re: sweating....maybe - just to be safe....NEVER ENTER SUNNY AREAS AGAIN...otherwise your tattoo will melt
3. re: hair growing back....a fuzzy tattoo...interesting
4. how much will it cost you? hmm...you can do it at home! Just peel your skin off
5. Will you cry like a little girl...just remember what I worked out with my artist...when in pain..hit and roll...hit his hand and then roll off the table. Cool new freckles and no pain!
6. Are you a runner - and lose out on potential freckles???
7. Restraint: might be....ask a bunch of people to sit on you while you're getting your tattoo
8. OF COURSE RIDER!!!!!
12NI! :)

Q1: Will I be able to swim the next day? -
A1: in salt water only, the chlorine in a pool will bleach out the color
Q2: When I sweat through the tattoo will it be in color? -
A2: yes, thats normal. but if you find your bleeding to be in color...go immediatly to your closest spa and request the sea salt scrub. Scrub all scabs off until your blood returns to its normal color
Q3:When new hair grows through the tattoo will it be in color? A3: hair growing back is an indicator that the tattoo needle did not pierce your skin deep enough and you should return to your artist and have the whole tattoo redone
Q4: How much will it cost to get the work I'm having done this weekend lasered off next weekend?
A4: Just go to the ER and claim that you were attacked by a roving band of tattoo artists. file a police report and have it removed at the hospital as part of the cities victem outreach program...I am sure there is some government program somewhere that will pay for it
Q5: Will I cry like a little girl or squeal like a pig when the needles hit my sensitive skin?
A5: I forsee you cruealing...Thats a cry and squal combinded...common to sissy boys who cant hack that pain like us women.
Q6: Am I a runner?
A6: I saw you at the mall buying those new nike shoes...you are gonna run big time
Q7: Will I have to be restrained?
A7: I personally recommend restraits even if your NOT a runner...heck who does like to be tied up and have sharp pointy things stabbing you over and over again...its how I unwind after a long hard day...but I am also a cutter
Q8:Will my 12NI group peeps miss me if I die under the needles?
A8: I forsee lots of cutting to morn your passing.

1) Yes, you can swim, but make sure you soak yourself first. Best to have your skin prunelike to protect the tat.
2) Tattoos prevent you from sweating, donchaknow.
3) The hair growing through it will actually leave color behind - that's why you get gray when you get older and why black is such a common tat color.
4) If you do the lasering yourself with a laser pointer, cheap!
5) You're on the skinny side, so I go with "little girl".
6) You look more like a sandman to me.
7) Yes; the artist will know how much crazy glue is needed to keep you in place.
8) No. You die and we all move up in rank, Mr. Checkov.

I think they will do the outline 1st actually...do you really want him or her to be up 8-10 hours at work all tired on you???
NO!!!!!!!
Fresh Tattoo
Take bandage off in 2 hours
Wash tattoo carefully with warm soapy water
DO NOT SCRUB
Lightly pat the tattoo until dry…
DO NOT RUB
Apply a very thin coat of bacitracin or aquaphor ointment 3 times a day for 3 to 5 days
Although re-bandaging a tattoo is not recommended, if covering the tattoo is necessary a sterile bandage or dressing should be used.
Be sure and wash the tattoo every night and morning…
DO NOT SOAK
Avoid tattoo exposure to direct sunlight and refrain from swimming in fresh, salt or chlorinated water for at least 2 weeks.
After External Healing
Tattoos heal quickly BUT fading can still be a problem
Apply hand lotion once a day until dryness stops
Vaseline Intensive Care, Lubriderm, Nivea, etc...
Tanning fades tattoos
Always cover fully healed tattoo with sun block
DO NOT RUIN YOUR INVESTMENT!!!

ask for numbing cream and it will not hurt at all. you can go swimming the same day if you want to. best to do it in a lake where there are lots of chemical spills. it should not cost much to get it lasered off next weekend since it will not be in your skin good yet. if you cry you will cry the color of the ink he is putting in you and it could permanently stain your face. tell your wife to tie your feet together with a rope so you do not run. my friend in the 12NI group said she will miss you and drifter if you die and don't come back. i have not been invited to the group yet but i will miss you too.

~you will not only be ABLE to swim but it is recommended. arkansas water is notorious for being great for tattoos.
~you won't sweat anymore after you get a tattoo. your whole body will dry up like a raisin.
~hair? your hair will never grow back... it will all fall out. look at blair... didn't you ever wonder why he's bald?
~i will laser your tattoo off for free since i am your daughter. i'll be there next weekend. a laser keychain will work right??
~i think you'll cry but that's just my personal opinion. and i plan on getting it all on video and posting it on youtube.
~i have known you all of my life and have never seen you run
~i'll be sure to get a restraining order.
~maybe.

OK, thanks for the laugh, I needed that.
Hell yes, I will call you!! I want to come, too, but I guess calling is the next best thing.. :(
Yes, your hair will grow back in color.
You will squeal like a cat being shoved into a meat grinder.
The tattoo will not hurt that much, only about as much as a dull razor being scraped against a 2rd degree burn. Suck it up, brother!!! 12NI is counting on you to make us proud!!
Oh, and I am sure of what the tattoo will be, are his initials SBSP and are you having a body suit done so you can look like him?? huh? huh? huh?
I am jealous over here with my currently inkless weekend.......

I've never gotten a tattoo, but everyone I know that has one says the pain varies with the location the tattoo is going to be at... But I would think that after an hour you'd be used to the pain. All that other junk you're asking... I don't know. If you'll need to be restrained then maybe you shouldn't have it done.

Take a deep breath. Talk to a tattoo artist, they can answer all your questions. ummm, I dunno if youre ready. If youre really serious about getting one pain shouldnt be an issue. Of course it's going to hurt, how bad is just a matter of your pain tolerance and it differs from person to person.I just had one on my foot that took about 12 to 15 minutes and it hurt pretty bad, the foot is a sensitive area, not as bad as I thought it was going to be though. I really wanted it though, so the pain wasnt an issue and now I have a tatoo I LOVE! good luck!

It's going to be expensive and it will hurt a lot. It won't discolor your hairs or your sweat. You will want to cry like a little girl but you'll likely just pass out. I recommend against the ink, dude. The laser treatment to get rid of it later will cost about 1000 times more and hurt about 100,000 times more than the original tat.
