Tattoos - March 2007

I'm terribly pale and would like to get a little color for the summer. However, I just got my first tattoo (it's all black) on my lower back and it's fairly large. I know baking in the sun is the worst thing I could do for my tattoo, and after going through all that pain, I want to keep it looking the best as possible. So would using a spray on or rub on tanning lotion fade the color as well? I'd just go around the tattoo, but the design of it would make it impossible!

i want a tatoo its my first but i dont no what to get im a real quiet shy person i want it descreet like on my upper thigh or hip or breast or something but something thatwill get noticed if i put it out something i can hide but flash if i wanted to and what should it be and where? maybe some links?

I'm not a biker chic or hard looking but I like the idea of getting a lower back tattoo, something feminine like an angel or fairy. Opinions? I'm married, by the way, and my husband is not thrilled with the idea.

I was considering getting a tattoo on my sternum-and I was just wondering (for females that have done this) how different is the healing process? I know it hurts more than an armband-just because there is less flesh over the sternum. Does it take alot longer to heal? My arm took about 3 weeks.. And also-what kind of bras did you initally wear, and what did you wear to get it done? Any info would help!

I have seen many guys with several tattoos on there bodies and i don't know if it works for them. I will have 4 tattoos come April 20. I have a skull on my shoulder, a clown on my left forearm, praying hands on my chest and my next one is going on my right calf. I plan on getting several more. I don't know if i want to cover my whole body but i would like to strategically place tattoos on my body not cluttering one part of my body.

i took off the clingfilm and then washed it with warm water and hav now put savlon on it but put it on a few times quite thick and it made the skin soggy and loose on the tattoo and looks like bits of skin are peeling , is this normal? and as its on my arm i dont want to sleep on it and it rub on my bed in the nite and mess it up. any help?
