I want to know if anyone knows of a tattoo artist that does really great realistic artwork. In the Pittsburgh PA, area. I am not into the real cartoonish stuff if you know what I mean.
Thanks for the help!

Island Avenue tattoos is great. I've gotten 2 tattoos there. There are a few different artists there, and they proudly display their portfolios. It's always very clean. I highly recommend them.

Oh, they are located in McKees Rocks.
Here, they have a myspace page.

The best in the city is probably Tim Victim, who works at Jester's Court. However, it appears he may be moving on to All Or Nothing Studios in Atlanta soon, so it may be difficult to get in with him.

Another artist at Jester's, Shannon, has also been doing really great realism lately. Her skills have really bloomed over the past year or two.

The Rev. Danny Dice at Monster Tattoo in Bloomfield is also well known for his realism. He is very good at it. Sadly though, he prefers to do "new school" cartoony stuff and he has many unhappy customers because he does what he wants and not what the customer wants.

I don't have a name of a specific tatto artist, but South Side tattoos are great. I don't have any tattoos, but my sister has 2 from there. That's where I'm going if I ever get one. Go down there to see their work.
