Also would like to know if I need to add R.I.P. to the top or going down like a stem also with wings coming out the side of the hearts. For a better view look at my 360 page.

$125 is a decent price for a tattoo, even a small, little detailed one. One thing people have to remember is that they are not only paying for the work, creativity and time the tattooist is taking on your tattoo, you're also paying for the upkeep of his tatto gun and supplies.
As far as you "needing" to add RIP to the tattoo, that's up to you. Do you want that on there or not. A tattoo should be something you got for yourself, not for others. Think about how you want your tatto to look if you really care that much about it, especially if its a memorial tattoo.

I just got a couple new tattoos this weekend. I would say $125 is pretty high. Then again, where do you live? Some areas charge more in general... I just got a Tattoo of Andy Warhols Banana that is 6 inches long and 2 inches wide with full coloring for $40.... and my Crab above it is about the size of the bottom of a coke can with alot of shading and coloring for $60....

I have to agree with ohmamita, if you like it that's all that matters. That being said if you are looking for feed back, as a tattooist I would say you were over charged. This tattoo does not have great line work and the over all design is not very appealing. I am guessing you did it from someones home and they over charged you. I would have done it for about half but then again I would have done something cool for 125.00 and keep you coming back for more rather than doubt it.

Yea, you paid too much. For that price it should have had more detail or been larger. I would put the R.I.P. on the top.

the question i would ask, do you think you paid too much ??
if you are happy, then it wasn´t expensive, if you don´t like it, any price would seem too much.
i dont think R.I.P. is nessecery on a memorial tattoo, you got initials in there already, you know its a memorial tattoo, i dont think you will need a perminent reminder, your not likly to forget are you !!

yeah you did pay more than the average, but if you got it done at a shop it's worth it considering sometimes when they do them at home it's not the most sanitary conditions. I would add more detail to it.

Considering it looks like a home job, I would say you paid too much.
