well only you can decide what you want
go round several tattoo places, look at the designs they've got on the walls and in folders (it's called flash)
when you find one you like, ask if you can take a picture of it, take it home, think about it for a month or two, and if you feel that it's really what you want, if you can see yourself with it for the rest of your life, then go for it.
have a look on the internet too, but the principle is the same, if you wait until you're sure, you won't regret it

What is your personality? Are you quite, loud? Are you that random guy who says random funny things. Are you crazy, preppy, emo? Emo's, Punk's, various music fans tend to get band logos. My hubby's first was a sailor Jerry style mermaid. Swallows seem to be really popular. My favourite tattoo so far is the Andy Warhol Banana I just got on my upper arm.. take a step back and look at who you are... GOOD LUCK

For my first tattoo I got a chinese symbol on my shoulder it meant friendship I would get something little and somwhere where you can either hide it or show it off I would get tribal on the top of my back

there is no one thing that would be good for you. it all depends on you and your personality and your likes and dislikes. it is often helpful if you get something that is meaningful to you that way you will be more likely to enjoy the tattoo for years to come instead of outgrowing it like i did one of mine.
make sure to chose a talented artist by looking at portfolios. not all artists are talented.

you could have your favourite football team,or your nickname in old english writing,i have my sons name in old english down my fore arm,take time to choose whats best for you as a tattoo is for life...... you could even design your own mate,use your imagination... good luck

no, dont get a tatoo, if you get one and it goes wrong, ur stuck with it if u bcome a criminal, u get found out (lol) and wen u get old n wrinkly it will look grose
