I thought I was going to die from the pain.

I got the tramp stamp about a week ago. I don't care what people think about getting it there. It's the one place I can cover if I need to and the least likely to stretch that won't be seen. Anyway, I didn't think it would be that bad, but it was the most painful thing I've ever experienced. The first 5 mins. I thought there is no way I could go through w/it. Then the next 20 mins. my husband had to fan me because I got all sweaty and thought I'd pass out. Then the last 45 minutes I just sort of sucked it up and figured oh well can't turn back now. I had my husband and the artist stay in conversation during it so that I wouldn't think about the pain. And the further out toward my side he went, the worse it hurt. The middle didn't hurt as bad and the coloring didn't hurt as bad either. But yes, it did hurt really bad. And if you want the tramp stamp, by all means, get it. Who cares what everyone else thinks. It's your tattoo.

Really it depends on you and the tattoo you are getting. I have a very large tattoo on my lower back... I was ok for the most part but certain areas, like on the spine and near my sides, hurt really bad..I also have a high pain tolerance so the artist went deep on me, some do not go as deep (though I think they should!)
If nothing else.. bite your finger(not to draw blood or anything) it helps focus the pain somewhere else and gives you something else to think about !! Best thing to do is keep your mind OFF the what is being done.... hard to do but it helps!
The worst is the outline.. The color was easy... I barely felt it! (actually after the pain of the outline it felt almost good! lol)

I agree ... it depends on your pain tolerance, however, the tattoo on my lower back hurt extremely bad. The tattoo artist said that the lower back is the worst place to get tattooed because that's where all your nerves are.

It depends on your pain tolerance. All tattoos hurt a bit, and how much depends on your reception of it and where it's placed (thin skin, bones (esp. rib cage), nerve spots, etc.). Also it hurts more if you're getting a lot of color because the shading coverd the same spot several times. The good thing about tattoos though is that they only hurt as you're getting them. Soon as you're done getting inked you're home free.

it depends if its on the bone or not and what your pain tolerance is like. I got one on the right side of my lower back and it hurt quite a bit but not nearly as much as I was expecting. It was more uncomfortable than painful. But I also do not tolerate pain very well at all.

Most people claim that the lower back is one of the more painful areas to get tattooed. Artists claim this is due to numerous nerve endings at the end of the spinal column. I think overall, its all relative to your own tolerance of pain.
Good luck!

My cut back again tattoo harm...particularly over the backbone, however I even have a few others, best of foot and ankle and the ones harm worse. I could suppose should you might stand having the toes performed, the cut back again may not be too dangerous! Good success...it is a very adorable tattoo!!

the less fat between the skin and the bone the more it hurts to get the tattoo, the more fat the harder it is to look at the tat!
please remember some day you may have children or maybe turn 40 and it just might not be to pretty.
just a thought but a greenish stretch out butterfly might not be that sexy to look at.

I have 6 tattoos and the only one that was uncomfortable was my wrist. I guess it depends on your pain tolerance. I've see some girls cry and some not even blink.

Dont get a tramp stamp, its so tacky and usually you will end up pulling your shirt down to cover it up because you will end up hating the attention it gets you. And dont say its for your own personal enjoyment because you cant see the damn thing, otherwise you would get it in the front, under your belly or something. Those tattoos are awesome and not overrated.
