Presidential candidate wins big in Alabama and New Hampshire

August 18, 2007

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – Representative Ron Paul handily won two Republican presidential straw polls today.

The first contest, sponsored by the West Alabama Republican Assembly, was held in Tuscaloosa at the University of Alabama. Dr. Paul garnered 216 of 266 votes, or 81 percent. Mitt Romney placed second with 14 votes, or 5 percent.

The second straw vote, sponsored by the Strafford County Republican Party in New Hampshire, was attended by fellow candidates Mike Huckabee and Tom Tancredo. Dr. Paul received 208 of 286 votes, or 73 percent. Mitt Romney finished second with 26 votes, or 9 percent. Huckabee and Tancredo received 20 votes and 8 votes respectively.

"Our campaign is growing by the day and continues to build momentum," said campaign manager Lew Moore. "Today's victories demonstrate Dr. Paul's tremendous grassroots support across the country."

Hi,
I live on a golf course and a lot of golf balls are landing on my property. I sold 100 titleist balls on EBAy for $30.00, is that good? Where can I sell these balls for the best profit. Can I go out to the end of my law, facing the golf course, out up a sign saying "golf balls for sale" and sell them, How much is a ball, can I sell a used one for $0.50 each because I think that 100 for $30 was probably a bit cheep.
Thanks for your help

I'm talking about God, evolution, and the meaning of life. What do they know about any of these things? Specifically: What is the meaning of life? Is there a God? And do you know if we evolved from apes?

I want to know too, because I hate (some of) them acting superior to me just cause I'm a Christian.

I have some problem about how to calculate power for my system. i use water jet as prime mover to move the turbine. Here i give the spec of my system :-

Water Jet spec
1. Operation pressure = 40 bar
2. Suction Volume = 17litre/minutes

We know that to calculate power is equal H(head) x flow rate x g x Efficiency...But for my system i don,t know the best way to calculate power. If i used this spec to calculate power, the result that i get is to small. So hope you can help me to simplify this problem. Thank you.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
GIS is a system of hardware and software used for storage, retrieval, mapping, and analysis of geographic data. Practitioners also regard the total GIS as including the operating personnel and the data that go into the system. Spatial features are stored in a coordinate system (latitude/longitude, state plane, UTM, etc.), which references a particular place on the earth. Descriptive attributes in tabular form are associated with spatial features. Spatial data and associated attributes in the same coordinate system can then be layered together for mapping and analysis. GIS can be used for scientific investigations, resource management, and development planning.

GIS differs from CAD and other graphical computer applications in that all spatial data is geographically referenced to a map projection in an earth coordinate system. For the most part, spatial data can be "re-projected" from one coordinate system into another, thus data from various sources can be brought together into a common database and integrated using GIS software. Boundaries of spatial features should "register" or align properly when re-projected into the same coordinate system. Another property of a GIS database is that it has "topology," which defines the spatial relationships between features. The fundamental components of spatial data in a GIS are points, lines (arcs), and polygons. When topological relationships exist, you can perform analyses, such as modeling the flow through connecting lines in a network, combining adjacent polygons that have similar characteristics, and overlaying geographic features.

Its only started since I started using the rowing machine about a month ago. Has anyone got any tips on how to prevent or reduce this??

Heya, I was just a bit too young to vote at the last election and I definately want to vote in the next election. What are the chances of Brown calling an election this autumn because of his current lead? I'm going to be away at my final year of Uni and I can't really fly back home and miss classes just to vote so I really hope there's not an election til after I graduate next summer and am living back home where I'm registered on the electoral roll!
