how do i drive uphill?

i will drive uphill this weekend using my ford lynx, manual transmition. this is my first time to drive up hill, what gear should i use?

Depending on the speed limit → Continue shifting up until the engine looses torque. If the engine is capable of maintaining the posted speed, then you are in the correct gear. It doesn't hurt the engine to run it a higher RPM for a short distance, however, lugging the engine will, over a period of time, cause damage.
