Most are scams. The only reliable source are actual job posting from specific companies looking for this sort of thing. These jobs when they come up are highly competetive, as everyone thinks working from home is the best way to go!

SCAMS! Now there are work at home jobs, but you get them through actual companies that hire you, then you end up working at home (consultant, client services, etc.) There are jobs in the thelecommunications industry as at home agents as well, provided you have all te necessary PC software ( some companies provide this). However if you are referring to the typical Spam version of do "surveys at home" they are scams. The easiest way to prove it is... Why would a company pay you $50 to do one survey, when they have their own employees, or could hire an outsourcing firm and pay them $10 per hour to complete a research assessment. It doesn't make sense, and if an executive suggested it, he would be quickly removed from decision making positions.

from a "professional"

Are there real work at home jobs? Yes there are some, but, they are not nearly as plentiful as you would think considering the amount of interest there is in working from home. They are also difficult to find. Job seekers who are interested in home employment need to spend a good deal of time searching for legitimate opportunities, as well as a significant amount of time weeding through scams.

There are work at home jobs that are real, but not the multilevel marketing ones you find on the Internet or that people answer here are good deals - they are just trying to recruit you under them so they get a cut of your fee. Any "job" that requires you to pay a fee to get it or the information is a scam.

For real work at home jobs, you would generally have some specific skill that you find clients for, or work at home doing a type of work that you did in the office for a former employer. I know three people who do work primarily at home - one has a PR company and does most of the work at home, one does web design and development, one does proofreading and editing for a company that she used to work in the office for.
