My son just turned 8 months old. He is NOT a sleeper. He might take one good nap a day and maybe a few 10-15 minute "snoozes." He never falls asleep at night before 10pm and wakes up (literally) every 2-3 hours. It has always been this way. He eats two jars of baby food about 6 o'clock and nurses at 9. I've tried letting him cry, but I'm not good at that and he's very stubborn. Sometimes he'll be up for an hour at a time at night. I'm exhausted, any ideas?

all of my friends at school says im smart and put this unwanted pressure on me to excel in every class but I spend 7 hours each day studying. my school ends at 2:30 pm and I get home at about 3:00 pm. I study from 3 to 10 and sometimes longer than that. if they study that much they could make the same grade as me...so am i smart or do I study a lot?

I moved to washington state from canada with my boyfriend. We are soon getting married, and I brought my 4 yr old daughter with me. yesterday he took pics of private convos I had on my email. Then he tried to txt his friend to bash me. I went to grab his phone and clawed his hand. HE CALLED 911! It was an acciden, and the cops came. I told them it was ridiculous, they took my name, dob, and my daughters info. They said im not charged. Hes threatning me, saying if I argue with him again, he will get me in trouble. Should I be worried about this? Can he charge me for accidentally scratching his hand, and could I lose my daughter over this? My family are in canada, my best friend told my mom, and shes freaking out wanting me to leave. I dont know anymore...

I'm some way into writing a novel, and I need a name for one of the characters.

I've written up to this point without one, but I feel she really needs a name that FITS now, to help me continue!

She's a character that is dead throughout the novel, and therefore only reffered to.

She had very strictly Christian parents - which would affect the name choice, obviously... But I don't want a name that sounds too nice or soft, because her death wasn't a nice or easy one although the reader wouldn't know this at first...

The character was a fairly hysterical/emotional person, who died when she was in her mid-twenties.

She dated a character called Alex - so it would be nice if the name didn't clash horribly with this, as the phrase "Alex and ____" would be used a fair amount.

Other characters include Kate and Jake, and the minor characters Rose and Stephen.

Any ideas? At all? I know it's not much to go on, but I can't think of a name that FITS!

Here's the deal, we got married moved into an extremley bad situation of an apartment (we did not know how bad it was when we looked at it); our upstairs tenants terrorize us and I have to work at 7am each weekday; my husband however can make his own schedule. I am unable to sleep there, there are parties (cops dont do anything), constant slamming, the place smells like garbadge (we had a sewage problem); moral is, I can't live there and have to live elsewhere during the week, my husband understands but I still think it's bad for us; until we find another place, I can't live there but just don't know what to do. We've gotten sick from living there, can't sleep, can't even sit in the living room cause of the noise, yesterday plaster came off the ceiling from neighbors slamming on ceiling.

I was under the impression that if they overcharged you they had to refund AND replace the item. Yesterday I bought 2 12 packs of Budweiser which was marked up as £10 each but I was charged £11.99 each. I didn't notice til I got home and I'm going back for a refund today, can I expect a £23.98 refund or just the £3.98 difference?

The ppl that came and set it up did not write down the WEP code and it wasnt on the network, my laptop and the desktop in my room, weren't on the network, but thet family PC that has it set up on and the router plugged into it works fine, I can not connect to the Internet on my laptop and 2nd desktop... It's really annoying, it took those guys to come out 4 months just to set up what took them all of 10 minutes... I wasn't hear when they set it up, just my mom, and she didnt write the code down... What can I do?

I'm thinking about quitting my job soon, and would like to stay in the UK for 6-8 weeks after I quit before returning to the US. I've heard that once employment is terminated, the visa is no longer good and you have <2 weeks to leave. Is this true? Can I just stay and then leave in 2 months with no problem? Or can I leave the country soon after I quit and then come back right away on a tourist visa?

I dont usually have any concerns about my birth control, because I always take them correctly. But last Friday, when I was taking my pill before bed, I saw I was taking Thursdays pill. I looked closer in my pack and saw that a week and a half ago, I had mistakenly took a green sugar pill, instead of my white one. I usually take them in my room at night while it is dark, so that is why it took me so long to notice. Anyways, on Friday I went ahead and took Thursday and Fridays pill. And I had been taking white ones every day since that one day. Do you think I need to be concerned about anything. Or no?
