Wellll I could write a book on this subject but here is the short version
The electric blue cichlid is a very beautiful fish and Sciaenochromis Ahli is a worldwide Aquatic terrorist responsible for the deaths of 564 guppies and 299 goldfish and 1 very large aquatic frog. If you see this evil doer, call the ABI (aquatic bureau of investigation) immediately because information that leads to the capture, interrogation and extermination by suffocation( we will torture him by taking him out of water until he talks and quits flopping around) of this creature is rewarded by a $5.00 gift certificate to a pet shop of your choice.
Otherwise, I believe they are the same thing.

They are the same one is the scientific name the other is a trade name for instance guppy is a trade name and poecilla reticulata is the scientific name
