I'm traveling to Vegas from San Diego and I know that the last sign of civilization before Vegas is Barstow and I'm pretty sure my big car won't make it to all the way to Vegas from Barstow without another fill or two. Does anyone know of ANY gas stations inbetween these two cities?

Im hoping to go to college out in SoCal and i really just love to beach, im not a surfer but i dress like one (not posser just like the style). Is it ok to dress like a surfer but not be one in Socal, is it to expensive to live by the beach?? I love the beach bum lifestyle. We are moving to Sydney from Brooklyn (I asked before). I know we won't really decide before we get there and experience the neighborhoods- but we could use some help narrowing down. Funky but safe, diverse and liberal, great , fresh food and shops, maybe older buildings that have been modernized inside...I know Melbourne was mentioned but we're already committed. Want to live near beach but understand that many city beaches are not dog-friendly, so we'd need to drive anyways. Husband will work in CBD, wife TBA. I truly appreciate all comments... and even like the healthy Sydney/Melbourne rivalry! Everything helps, as we have no friends there yet...thanks.

I am looking for an apartment to move into thats real cheap in Orlando, I don't care if it looks bad smells bad or is bad I just need a place to stay until I get a good job. It's only 490 - 500 dollars a month for a studio, should I rent this? Also If I do rent It how much money do I need on the first month, do I just pay 490 a month or do I need to pay for the final month as soon as I rent it? and If anyone knows any cheaper apartments or just a place to stay thats real cheap (I dont care how shitty it is) please tell.
