I'm 19. If I legally purchase alcohol in Canada and wish to bring it to the U.S. would that be allowed since I legally purchased it? I wish to buy some wine in Canada for my grandmother. I obtained it legally so does that mean I can bring it across?

Unfortunately it's called a minor in possession of alcohol and is illegal. The second you enter the US. No, not even when you enter, crossing. Purchase has little to do with it. Selling to minors isn't a problem for you, it would be the seller.

If that is your intent. Mail it to her.

While you are the legal age for purchasing alcohol in Ontario, you are not of legal age to import alcohol into New York. You must be 21 years of age to import alcohol into the United States.

Sorry, it is (stupidly) illegal, it will be confiscated if it is discovered.

Hint: if you are driving the best place to hide it is under the hood.
