I would take a trip to Williamsport, PA where the Little League World Series is held.
US 15 North of Williamsport is a very scenic drive with mountains to the east and west.

There are so many options!
The Poconos, Hershey Park, Ocean County Maryland, the Jersey Shore or Atlantic City, Lancaster County, DC, New York, Boston (although maybe that's more like 5.)

Drive to the Poconos. There is lots to do in the Poconos, and they are less than a 2 hour drive from Philadelphia.

Bethlehem, PA, especially during Musikfest (August). Strasburg/Lancaster, especially if you like yummy food and steam trains or train museums. Longwood Gardens is a nice trip down Rte 1, and there's lots of stuff to see along the way.
