I am an American citizen, and want to go to Germany for an exchange program, and will have trouble affording it, so it would be cool if I could work there in the meantime. Is that allowed?

That always my problem with a cruise. I want to pay for half the price of 2 persons in a cabin .... but I am alone ... and I don't want to convince another person to come with me.

Could some cruises companies find themself the second person of my cabin?

I don't technically have a "conviction" since Oregon gives you a one-time diversion opportunity. I've known people who couldn't travel to Canada with a DUI conviction. So I'm wondering if mine counts in the eyes of the border patrol.

I am flying up from San Francisco and staying downtown. I like rock shows and drinking beer. Are rock clubs far outside of downtown? Also, I like history and stupid tourist things a bit also. Is a foray into Vancouver worth the effort? There were some good bands that came out of Olympia, does that mean there are good clubs there that are worth going to on a weekend trip?
