That always my problem with a cruise. I want to pay for half the price of 2 persons in a cabin .... but I am alone ... and I don't want to convince another person to come with me.

Could some cruises companies find themself the second person of my cabin?

I'm an agent and cruise lines will charge you a single supplement fee anywhere from 25% to 100% of the normal cruise fare on top of your fare if you want the cabin for yourself.

Cruise lines will not find someone to share a cabin with you as this puts them in a bad position legally. What if the person that the cruise line assigned to your room assaulted or injured you in some way. The cruise line could be held liable and they won't put themselves in this position.

Try www.cruisemates.com. This might help you, but be careful when you decide to room with a stranger.

Holland America line offers the single partner program. You book a double cabin at the double rate. When another person of the same sex signs up you are paired up in the same cabin. If no one signs up you get to keep the single cabin at the double rate you paid.

you can find a group that's going on a cruise and go with the group and they'll pair you up with someone. usually it would be a theme group... like a country music cruise... or a jazz cruise... or something like that... and you should actually be involved in the group. but they would also have group discounts too so it'd be even more savings.
there are social clubs for singles that do group cruises here in my city... you should look for a social club and go from there.

well, I think i'd be better to board with an aquantience then an all out stranger. usually their called 'strange'r's for a reason. Maybe you could go with an assosiate at work or a friend of a friend.
