I just asked a Zimbabwean: "Do you speak English in Zimbabwe?" LOL!!!! (No, I didn't mean: DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH? ARE YOU CIVILIZED???) What I meant to ask was: Do you only speak English, meaning is that the only language you guys speak....?" In SA we've got so many languages, and the Zimbabwean accent actually sounds British!

Hi everyone! I am going to Istanbul with my boyfriend during new year's eve for about 5 days and would like to know a few things.

(1) are the shops open during new year's eve and new year's day in Istanbul and also weekends?

(2) Where is the best stay to stay (for 2 person)? Preferably near the city and not too expensive.

(3) We would really like to eat some local food and it would be nice if someone gives us some good recommendation. What kind of food and where to eat :)

I'm 21, and am going out to vegas in mid march... I was wondering what would be the best hotel for the value, or if their are any promo codes to any of the hotel/casinos out there? I have been out there before, and I know of the hotels to be avoided (sahara, circus circus, stratosphere). Me and my roommate are just looking to save some cash where we can. I know it rains a lot there, but do I need to bring winter clothes? And is a raincoat really compulsary?
