I have three one Rupee coins. They were given to me. I am curious as to what they are worth compared to U.S. money. They are about the same size as a quarter. Thanks for any info.

Apartheid is back, only now it's called Affirmative Action and BEE (Black Economic Empowerment); racist laws that dictate that businesses have to reflect the demographic of the country from the top down. So, if you're white, sorry buddy, but you're out of luck.
Racist and sexist Affirmative Action laws, that benefit a minority here in America, have caused untold damage in terms of lowered work standards and resentment.
Those same laws, when applied to a largely still illiterate and unskilled black majority, will eventually have the effect of destroying the South African economy.
Are you guys okay with that? Doesn't really matter, does it?

I'm simply moving to the UK by myself and I need to know which visa/permit to get. Once I get there I will be completely on my own and I will need to find a job and support myself. I need to know what type of visa/permit I need to apply for and if I need to apply for it now or after I move.

Also my friend mentioned something to me about a "living visa/permit" just to live there. Do I need that or does it even exist?

Hi,
I'm travelling to Hong Kong in January and i'm wondering if it's safe to go by myself. If anyone has any experience of travelling alone (preferably females) in Hong Kong or surrounds i would like to hear about it. Also, is it safe to go out alone in Hong Kong at night?

I have a profound love for british architecture and I will be beginning my masters of arch. right after I finish my BA. I am going to the UK for one year to study/travel. But my primary reason is to photograph the british countryside and the architecture.

What is the best way for an independent/solo traveller to see the countryside? I want to see the places where tourists don't usually know of and only the locals know of. Suggestions please!

Thankyou.

There is an Air Shuffle Bus which leaves from Buffalo Airport and then there is The Maple Leaf, a Canadian run Amtrak line that runs from Buffalo to Toronto. Not sure which gets you there faster. I had a horrible experience with Amtrak this summer from Rochester to Montreal. Don't wanna go thru that again.

I'm looking to fly my mother back home sometime next year (from Australia to Ireland and return) as she's had a shocking 2006 thanks to the illness & death of my father.

For such a long trip, I want to make sure she's comfortable and has a great experience both in terms of quality & service. Can anyone recommend a particular airline's first or business class? Any extra details very appreciated.

I'm planning a western europe trip, we're passing by Switzerland, and I still haven't made up my mind on which cities I should stop by to visit. My list is down to Luzerne, Geneva and Bern, I hope to catch a view of the alps, where should I choose then?

With the Mudslides and tragic effects of Typhoon Durian, and more expected, why won't Arroyo doing anything to stop the illegal logging?. It's known that the logging has directly contributed to increased Mudslides, It's costing lives of the poor.

Why won't the People of the Philipines vote her out?
