Is it a glamourous city like Paris or London (or Milan), where people dress well and with fashion?
Is it a "Be cool-West Coast" city like San Francisco or Vancouver?
Or is it more of a business city?
Is it a place where you want to spend the rest of your life?

What do you think, What kind of city is or should be Toronto?

I was watching this program that said that Vacouver people hate Toronto because Torontonians think they are the best. I find that hard to believe! I live in Toronto and not once have I thought of Toronto being the best. In fact, I think it sucks.. too much BS. I have never been to BC and frankly am afraid to go as I know I would never want to come back to Ontario. What's the real story here? Anyone from BC out there?

I'm currently in a master's program in the US to become a certified speech-language pathologist. Even though I still have two more years, I'm considering moving out-of-state (and even the country) to work somewhere with a diverse population. I've never been to Toronto, but have been researching the city and find it very appealing with it's culture, arts, etc. How hard would it be for a US citizen to, at the very least, find work as a speech pathologist in Toronto/Canada? What steps would I need to take? Also, what other areas of Canada and the US are considered diverse and friendly (to put things in a frame of reference, I flew to San Jose, CA this year and LOVED it)? I live in Louisiana and even though the people here are very nice, there's not much opportunity to meet people with different perspectives or participate in fun activities/events. I'm also tired of the year-long hot weather. Any help is appreciated!!

I'm planning on taking a trip to Toronto sometime next Spring...I was hoping I could do it by Greyhound. But the thing is I live in a small city in east Texas (Mt. Pleasant, about 120 mi. east of Dallas), with a Greyhound station, but I was wondering how does Greyhound work? I do intend to go to the station soon and ask them how I can go about doing this, but asking on here never hurts. What I want to know is...

1. About how much is this going to cost, a round trip for about four days? I figured it up on the site, and it came out to be about $350.

2. How does it work? I don't see a straight trip from my town to Toronto...am I going to have to change buses more than a few times?

3. What's traveling by Greyhound like? I've heard horror stories and good things too...I'd prefer to travel by bus because I love scenery and I'd love to see everything between here and there...plus I think it's cheapest...

4. Will I need to get a passport to get into Canada?

Thanks a lot! :-)
