A winter jacket for sure, pants, whatever shirt you want, and to be really warm you'll want a scarf, gloves and maybe a hat. Toronto is cold in December. :(
What to do.... CN Tower, Kensington Market, Eaton Centre, Casa Loma, ROM, AGO (but I think it's closed?), Queen West, maybe Chinatown? Your indoor options are pretty limited - Toronto is NOT a good place to come in December (although I suppose any cold city isn't a good place to go in the winter).
This website is really good for attractions, restaurants, etc.

I happen to live in Toronto and most people are telling you to bring clothing you probably do not have nor have you heard of. Correct it is not a warm place in December, it ranges from +2 to 8 d celcius, this in the day time to -2 to10 d celcius at night.
I would bring long pants, and a number of heavy sweaters and long sleeve shirts or blouses. There are a number of very inexpensive places here, like Honest Ed's on Bloor and Bathurst, to buy a decent but cheaper winter coat if needed, sometime it gets sloppy, by this I mean snow does melt and turns into a wet mess, so a pair of waterproof shoes, slip one type are available here for a few dollars.
Figure a coat and slip on boots will cost $45-60 CDN (250-300 pesos), if you can get something in Mexico fine, but the last few years we have had relatively mild or less colder winters with less snow and mushy weather, so that is why you might want to wait until you arrive to make any major purchases, when returning home you will most likely not need all those heavy close in your country.

You should bring a warm coat and long pants such as jeans. You may feel colder than the Canadians in Toronto since you come from a warm climate.
There are many stores in Toronto that sell winter clothing that is not expensive if you do not have warm clothing to bring with you. Go to places like Walmart and Zellers, and you can buy a warm coat, hat, gloves, and boots for about CAD$150 if you do not care about name brands.
Expect the weather to be between -10C to 10C, usually with lots of wind.
As for places to visit, that depends on what you like to do. There is the CN Tower, the Hockey Hall of Fame, Hockey with the Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre, and lake Ontario cruises. Niagara Falls is about an hour away.

Yes very cold in December you need winter jacket (keep u warm), scarf, boots, gloves, snowpants... everything (probably snow) and places you can go are Niagara Falls and malls like Vaughn Mills.. you can go to Playdiium and play. You cant go to Wonderland cuz it's December so I think that's kind of it and not a lot you HAVE to visit. But it's a really cold place so dress appropriately before you come. Have Fun :)

Cold. Daytime temps of around -10 degrees celsius, wind factor can bring that to -30 degrees celsius.
Coats, mittens, and hats. If you can buy them in Mexico, then do so. You'll have to travel from the airport to get those items

I'd be surprised if you can get warm enough clothes in Mexico. If you're visiting someone, your best bet is to get them to borrow some winter clothes for you (or buy them second-hand) and meet you at the airport with them.

Verrry cold in Toronto in december. you will definitely want heavy coat, gloves, hat, scarf. Bring warm pants and sweatshirts.
I don't live there, but I'm not too far. It's a lovely city. You'll want to visit the CN tower and Younge St for sure.

To you it'll seem very cold, but to us December is not that cold at all. This -30C business is wrong--the guy who said between -2C and 8C is closer to the facts.
