my family of five are immigrating to toronto next year . we do not know if we should sell all our furniture and buy new or ship all our stuff from the uk ,it will cost about £2000 to ship items.what is your opinion about buying new could we buy basics for the house for the cost of shipment. all ideas welcome.

Reason I ask is because, I'm graduating in August from my Graphic Design class and my dad is going to send me on vacation to wherever I want to go. I don't exactly want to go over seas to Europe like Italy and Greece just yet, seeing how I havent even been to Las Vegas, Miami, or many parts of the U.S. I never even been to Canada. I want to see what it's like there, so who knows or has been to Toronto, is it a good area to visit? Give details, please!

I've gone many times in the past but I've been told by many people that it wasn't fun last year. I heard that they've removed the reggae floats, is that true?

I got a "Toronto CityGuide" by Discovery Channel. In their Kennsingtin Market section it says it has one of Canada's only cannabis cafes called "Hot Box", where you can smoke and eat hemp seed sandwiches. I was under the impression that while decriminlized, marijuana was still illegal. I'm curious, is it allowed in a place like this "cannabis cafe"?

About violence in Toronto and surroundings?

This recent weekend, I lost someone I knew.. Someone I grew up with..

He was murderered in his own apartment in Brampton just when he had just finished a party.

What hurts me is a lot is... That I lose so many in short period of time, but let's not dwell on that..

What I want to know.. Doesn't it make you sick to your stomach or even makes you tired, more tired in hearing about violence?

You may see the news about murdered victims, but when it's someone you know, it is like a brick hitting you.
