Otherwise try the Toronto Star.

There is a suite rental unit on Bay Street that rents units depending on the number of bedrooms from $1500 a month and up, homes for rent generally are the type you want a long term issues, short term units are available all over the city, just search for short term rentals in Toronto

Try www.craigslist.org and click on Toronto under Ca cities. You can browse the rentals and you can also post your own ad in the Housing Wanted section with the amount you want to pay per month, the features and ammenities you are looking for ex. (included hydro, included cable, included internet and close to a subway station or grocery store). You can also identify the area of Toronto that you are looking for housing in.

I know it's a real estate web site, but you could try http://www.mls.ca. They do have rentals listed as well as regular sale listings.

You can try viewit.ca but I think for short term, Craigslist.org is the best. That is how we found our place.
