You know, you are always going to get people who say bad things about every place. Truth be known, Toronto is a large metropolitan city. We have shopping, concerts, parks and museums. There is always something going on here.
We have one of the most ethnically diverse populations in the world....China town, Little Italy, Greek town...just to name a few neighbourhoods. And the food.....you name it, you can get it here (well almost anything).
Don't listen to the nay sayers......you want to come up to Canada and check out what we've got? You're welcome anytime!
I hope you come & I hope you have an amazing time! Oh, Congratulations on graduating, well done!

Toronto is a great place to visit, Krazy. The city is very multicultural. As well as having nice weather, and being on lake ontario, Toronto offers many attractions like the CN tower.

"Toronto the Good" was once the nickname of Toronto. Not any more of course but if you just like to visit, visit in the summertime when it's hot and humid.
There is Lake Ontario and beaches and lots of immigrants. I think 4 or 5 Chinatowns?
Niagara Falls is an hour's drive away by bus. Depends where you are coming from. Canada is 5000 miles wide.
There is a subway system with underground shopping malls (great in winter time).
Sports has baseball, basketball, soccer and ice hockey.
Bring lots of money because things are costly...like food, restaurants and hotel rooms in summer.
The currency exchange is too close to make any deals like the US had 10 years ago at 40%. Now it's about 10%.

Toronto is dullsville - Toronto is a place to get out of not to get into.
The best part of Canada is the West Coast especially Vancouver Island. I visit Victoria every year - I love the Inner Harbor and Oak Bay. Banff and Lake Louise are spectacular and Quebec City
is very interesting.

I live in Toronto and I think it's an okay place to visit for the reasons another poster mentioned (lakefront, C.N. Tower and multiculturalism), but honestly I wouldn't consider my city a real tourist destination. You wouldn't be bored (in summer especially lots goes on here...outdoor concerts and theatre, multicultural events and festivals, really it's very pleasant) and if urbania is too much for you, in less than two hours you are in full wilderness (i.e. Georgian Bay, 30,000 islands). But honestly, if I had somebody paying for a trip to anywhere in the world, I would choose overseas in a heartbeat...Las Vegas and Miami you can go to any time (tons of cheap packages are available). I love my city, but really it's like any other major U.S. city (on the surface at least). My advice...take this opportunity and go somewhere really special like Europe or Asia. Or if you really want a unique Canadian experience, go either to the West Coast (B.C. / Alberta), Quebec (especially Quebec City, Eastern Townships, Gaspe) or the East Coast (Newfoundland & Labrador, New Brunswick).

Toronto's ethnically diverse neighborhoods are its best attraction.
Summer is the most fun time here - lots of street festivals and events.
Have a great time!

I lived in Toronto for years , unfortunetly , it is becoming to much like an American city . Dirty and gang infested . Too many beggers near all the tourist places . Take the old man's money to Europe , it will be more enjoyable .
