Which is the cheapest way to get to New york from Toronto-Canada?

I've come up with only three, semi cheap, possibilities. The first is to take Via Rail from Toronto to New York City. Depending on when you travel, you can get a fare for just $100+. The other option is traveling with Greyhound directly from Toronto to New York City. The last option is to take Greyhound from Toronto to Buffalo, and then flying (with JetBlue) from Buffalo to New York City. I've done the latter. It's much less expensive than flying from Toronto to New York City. Good luck!

Train is the cheapest traditional form of public transport. Buy online at

Note that both websites give the impression that you have to change trains at Niagara Falls. This is not the case: you stay on board the whole way through, the train simply switches operators (VIA - Amtrak) at the border.

Hitchhiking might cost you your life, and the amount of food for calories to walk would cost more than a private jet. I'd talk to a travel agent or research driving, flying, train, etc. Don't trust these fools!

train i believe is really cheap it takes a while though but very comfortable and you will be well looked after. i got a train from toronto to nigara falls the time goes really quick the staff always check to make sure your ok i believe it takes about 7/8 hours though
