Business trip with mom, a seminar over friday saturday and sunday, we leave wednesday and come home sunday. we have thursday free, what to do? I would love to visit any landmarks (I'm a shutterbug) and I've never been up there. Are there any tours that are worth taking? I think we will also have friday and saturday evening to roam, but I'm not sure. And also, what's a girl to wear in June in Toronto?

I'll be migrating to Canada soon, most probably in Toronto. I keep hearing about how difficult the winters can be in Toronto and coming from a tropical Asian country, I am very much concerned. When it gets real bad, how does it affect transportation (within the city), schools and offices? Can it get so bad that it can actually shut down the city? What winter clothing should I consider acquiring? How reliable are the weather forecasts?

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

I was wondering how much it would cost to live in Toronto for one person. I'm not a very materialistic person at all, so I just want to know what are the average costs of rent, all the bills, and public transportation is per month.

People who live in Toronto by themselves would be of great help. Thanks :)
