I wouldn't say we in BC hate you. But irritating at times yes. It's similar to the US/Canada relationship. So much of what the US does effects Canada, yet they barley know we exist. So, like the other answer, you don't know us. But historically, all of Canadian politics, business, sports, entertainment, etc, etc. is influenced by Ontario and Toronto. The history was BC election polls would close, and 2 minutes later when no BC votes had yet to be counted, we'd find out the thing was decided and a winner declared. Like our vote doesn't count. AND our chose rarely would have been the same as who you guys voted in.
I have time to write this, because although I Would like to watch a great hockey game on TV tonight, all I get is some Toronto ML game. I would rather watch any other game, but they are on every Saturday. The Vancouver games get on about once a month. Not only do I have to pay tax dollars so Toronto can watch TML on CBC, then I have to pay extra to watch my team on PPV on Sunday. They don't even schedule as many Saturday games for Vancouver, that's Toronto's time. I would also like a Montreal or Ottawa game every once in awhile, we get none. So a Torontonian would not understand why I was so happy that the ML didn't make the playoffs last year. That meant no Ottawa games were preempted and got to see them go all the way to the cup. (At least playoff time we do get all the Vancouver games on a regional basis.)
I watched another Canadian show, they were talking about some Toronto soccer club. They announced it as Canada's only professional soccer team. Ahh? How ignorant is that, hello Vancouver Whitecaps? Been around for 30 years??? Turns out, almost every major Canadian city has a professional soccer team, but it takes Toronto having one for the sport even to exist.
I tried to watch that program, but I mostly found it irritating. I guess it is made for people in Toronto.

i moved from Toronto to Vancouver and have found at least 3 people who have personally attacked me with such hate for Toronto. I think this hate is mostly one sided as most people from Toronto either love BC or don't have a strong enough opinion.
I asked some guy why he hated toronto and he said because we think we are the centre of the country. I have never met anyone from Toronto who thinks that and am lost on the hate especially when he has never traveled to Toronto and was forming this on his opinion.
it's impossible to compare cities like toronto and vancouver due to size, population and factors that drive their economy.
Anyone who hates someone or something because of where they are from is Xenophobic.

I live by Toronto and I don't know of anyone with negative feelings towards Vancouver. Everyone I know whose ever been there including myself has loved the city and a lot of people wish they could move there.
I don't know what show you watched but that is definately not the feeling I get in Toronto or Ontario for that matter.
The only time we may hate Vancouver is when the Canucks play the Leafs and beat us lol.

With its hill history and metropolitan beaches, Vancouver gets the rightly gained standing of being one of the most wonderful towns in the world, with hotelbye you may have the chance to see this excellent city. Among the areas you need to see in Vancouver is the Downtown Vancouver. Downtown Vancouver is superbly based on a peninsula in the Strait of Georgia bounded to the south by the delta of the Fraser River and to the north by a serious fiord reaching much inland. Here you may also start to see the frequently snow-covered stages of the Coast Mountains. Stanley Park is one of the very visited parks. Is a lavish Peninsula Park of huge trees surrounding to Downtown Vancouver. A paved seawall route encircles the natural space, and most visitors make an effort to discover on base or by bicycle. Inland, the park presents several things to accomplish, and guests may invest a full time exploring attractions including the totem poles at Brockton Point to the west coast sea living at the Vancouver Aquarium. Spectacular opinions are a common throughout the park.

Vancouver is a great place full of great people
No, Torontonias don't have people from Vancouver, I believe you are confusing Vancouver with Montreal
And no, Toronto is not the center of the universe, it is just one of the greatest Canadian cities (along with Vancouver of course)

i'm hoping the leafs. Y'understand they could desire to win at one factor. optimistically right this moment, as a leafs fan i'm able to't particularly set my expectancies TOO intense, yet triumphing one game will provide some variety of momentum to the dieing dogs of the leafs season.
