There is an Air Shuffle Bus which leaves from Buffalo Airport and then there is The Maple Leaf, a Canadian run Amtrak line that runs from Buffalo to Toronto. Not sure which gets you there faster. I had a horrible experience with Amtrak this summer from Rochester to Montreal. Don't wanna go thru that again.

If your not completely satisfied with the train I would suggest you take the bus ride.

Hmmm. Amtrak does not run directly from Rochester to Montreal. Unless you did an out-of-the-way either via Albany or Buffalo.

Unfortunately, except for Washington-Boston where Amtrak owns the tracks and lines in states that pay extra for substantial service (e.g. California) Amtrak trains must defer and wait for freight and therefore are often hours late. So take the bus. But why are you not flying into Toronto, or maybe Hamilton?

All depends on how fast you need to get there. You can probably fly to Toronto for pretty cheap and its a lot faster. The bus is way cheaper but then you have to deal with the traffic and the weather (snow). The train can cost almost as much as flying, so it all depends on what your willing to spend.

Hello from Toronto:

The bus takes longer, it will cost less to take a bus. Look into Greyhound.

The train is faster and the cost is usually more.
