I know it rains a lot there, but do I need to bring winter clothes? And is a raincoat really compulsary? I saw a great raincoat at Mango, and I wanna make sure first that I'm gonna be using it for a long time since it's a bit pricey. I'm sorry if I sound daft, but I have no idea on the right attire for London living. Thanks!

James Madden of Exacta climate reported the day beforehand of this that "some reasonable to heavy falls of snow are even possibly at cases throughout the time of areas of London, South East, and the South West." that's especially for the time of December.

It only snows very occasionally, and even then it never settles for long, especially in the centre of the city. Snow lasts for longer in the suburbs of London, but in the centre it melts away quickly.

Recent winters in London have been pretty mild generally, chilly but not too cold.

And it doesnt actually rain heavily that often, even in winter.

It almost never snows in London. It does get pretty cold sometimes though.

About the raincoat: it probably isn't necessary as an umbrella will do.

It does snow, but not much and not often - it does get cold and it drizzles a lot, so a raincoat will probably be your best bet.

It rarely ever snows in London. If you want to see big snow in a big city visit NYC where winter storms can dump up to a foot or more snow in one event.
