I dont know if anyone has noticed this at all, I mean in European/American (or whatever) culture we have got to be all macho and stuff, because so many people are homophobic and stuff, but I noticed that in Japan there is none of that stereotype. I mean you see guys hanging off other guys and pretening to, well, backdoor each other on trains and just really weird stuff for guys to do. These koukousei arnt gay, its just they dont seem very homophobic at all. They would offer to show us down their pants and ask to see what we have got etc. I know the culture if very different, and that traditionally samurai were 'free' with their sexuality, but has anyone else noticed this? And what are your thoughts? not wanting to offend, just wanting opinions. cheers.

Our family is looking for a resort/hotel to spend Christmas day at. We want to do a buffet and enjoy a place with great Christmas decorations to wander through and enjoy. We have done this at a Lake Geneva resort and are looking for something similar.

I want to plan a Pune to Shirdi visit in last week of December with an 8 month old infant. I am worried about travel by private taxis as the drivers dont drive carefully. For buses, I am thinking that I might have to plan an overnite stay. Please suggest on,

- possible travel options
- stay options
- road conditions
- weather around that time

I am not a Pune resident, but have a place to stay in Pune already, so please comment on Shirdi stay options.

Thanks.

My freind and I are going to Turkey. Has anyone ever been there before? Is it a nice place? I heard that it is one of the few best countries in the world.

Dear fellow arabs, do you think yahoo is supposed to make an arabic yahoo answers?
they already made customized y!answers for many countries like italy, china, singapore..etc, they even made a UK yahoo and they speak ENGLISH for cryin out loud.
we (arabs) have this advantage of speaking the same language, i mean many countries with one language (arabic) so why arabic isnt included in international y!answers? and we can write in both arabic or english then, or use arabic in english letter like we always wanna do, when we're talking about common sayings in the arab world.
many of us get reported for using an arabic word here, its unfair.
whats ur opinion, are u with it or against it and why?
and if ur supporting this, how can we make it happen?
with all do respect for all non-arab countries, no offence.

How much money say, per day, should a person have if they're planning a trip to the US, hitting places like San Francisco, New York etc? Lonely Planet recommends US$50 per day if you're staying in decent motels, eating out etc. Sound right?
