Yes I know ive asked a question about Majorca twice under greece, but i did select the balearics and it keeps defaulting back to greece.
Why do some people have to be so sarcastic?, just to get a few points. wont be going to greece if thats their attitude,

You will love Majorca. Everyone who goes always says its nice.
Hopefully you'll see one or two Greeks there. But don't put off going to Greece if you get the chance. I've been there 4 times and its great. You'll have a really good time. Nice people, great night life, great food, beaches, boating, rock climbing, cycling etc.

What makes you think that it was greek people who were sarcastic to you? I mean they may have been Majorcans for all you know! So please don't think Greeks are sarcastic and unfriendly. We do correct people a lot, it's true, because we want them to know more about our country, which is definitely worth visiting, but don't forget the king of the Greek gods was the god of hospitality, and friendliness to visitors is still sacred for us (not for the taxi drivers, but for the rest it is!).
PS. Regarding the previous answers by greek girls, I must add that greeks are not too kind when they are offended, and any threat is quite offensive to greeeks, especially if you try to make it look like they depend on you and it will be a great harm if you don't honour us with your presence. It is true that we couldn't care less if you'll come or not, but if you do come we are really very warm and friendly. Those girls would probably offer to take you out and offer you dinner if you came here and asked them to show you around!

Don't live in Greece myself, but is a fantastic place to visit, so don't be put of by me. Been there over twenty times myself. Will travel there at least twice next year. We go to a different part of Greece each time, the country is so diverse.

They say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

Please accept my apology.

How would this affect your decision whether or not to go to Greece? Having been to Greece and to Majorca, I would suggest that the Greeks are more friendly towards us than the Spanish - who are kinda sick of us by now - but that at the end of the day it depends on what you want from your holiday - the Spanish probably have slicker accommodation available

Sarcasm is a form of humour.....obviously not to everyone's taste but it takes all sorts, and would you really want to be just a clone?
I admit to loving both Majorca and Greece, but the one thing that would stop me going back is their primitive small-bore sanitary plumbing. Their motto is that if you haven't digested it then don't flush it....put it in a bag to be collected and burned. For that reason alone I would put a Spanish resort ahead of a Greek one.

Could possibly be because Majorca isn't a Balearic?

Its easy to shoot people down, i do it occasionally but that for really stupid stuff or the one troll I see a lot.

As for putting a question in a near-but-wrong category, people should get a life and leave you alone.

...its all part of the death throws of Yahoo Answers. Set up in good faith but ruined by the haters, abusers and timewasters.

I just looked through your questions. You only got 3 answers that commented on where your question was, and none were abusive. Thats nothing compared to the rest of abuse people give out. i actually don't even think that level of response was worth a question, you should see what else goes on here !

"A sarcastic person has a superiority complex that can be cured only by the honesty of humility,” said Lawrence G. Lovasik.

Anyway, I'm sure you in general will find much more friendliness in Greece than in Spain...

They are losers who get plesure out of trying to belittle someone else, usually because they have nothing going for them & they feel better by making someone else feel silly cos that's how they get their confidence. Don't get them a second thought honey, they are so not worth your time. And don't let it put you off going to Greec or Majorca - they are the minority !!

You should come to Greece and get familiar with what we call "Greek Lover". You'll automatically see the world with different eyes.
Because let's face it baby, if you're getting offended with sth someone wrote you on the Internet (that someone could have been a psycho killer or an alcoholic or a bloody pervert) you definitely need to whoooooooo haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
