....question you've ever asked?

I just asked a Zimbabwean: "Do you speak English in Zimbabwe?" LOL!!!! (No, I didn't mean: DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH? ARE YOU CIVILIZED???) What I meant to ask was: Do you only speak English, meaning is that the only language you guys speak....?" In SA we've got so many languages, and the Zimbabwean accent actually sounds British!

Tell me about a question you've asked but with a totally different meaning!

This is just a fun Q guys!!!! Enjoy!

Sayau,

Just read the question again, and again and again, OK!!!! Maybe then you understand the question!!!! I never said they are civilised, I said that my question I asked sounded if that is what I asked, and in the meantime I wanted to know if they speak any other language than English!!! Do you understand now or should I come draw you a picture???? Mmmmm?

Unreal hero, Vango, Zukin, thanks for actually READING and most of all UNDERSTANDING the question. I never though that people could get so upset, and that about such a stupid question!!!

Malan, bluefreehi and sarayu, the question I posted is not about anybody being civilised or if they were taught to speak english, hallo, in what language do you think did I communicate with the other party!?ENGLISH ENGLISH!!!!

Maybe I must refrase!!!! HAVE YOU EVER ASKED A Q BUT MEANING SOMETHING ELSE, LIKE ASKING A GUY ABOUT CRICKETBALLS, FOR INSTANCE: Do you have balls (The guy obviously have balls, hallo, all males do!!! I know that, but I mean do you have cricket balls?)

Do you people understand now? I NEVER SAID ANYBODY ISN'T CIVILIZED!!!! THAT IS NOT WHAT THE QUESTION IS ABOUT!!!!

As far as I understand Poepies' question and her Additional details, the actual question she had asked (with no intentions of finding out whether Zimbabwe is civilised or not) was:
"Do you speak English in Zimbabwe?"

and the person who was being asked perceived Poepies' question as:
"Are you civilised in Zimbabwe?"

That means a person who was being asked had a percerption problem.
Maybe some of the answeres here still have the same wrong percerption.

To answer your question, I was on a Skype Call 2 weeks ago talking to somebody in US. I said to her:
'Is there sugar cane in US?'
I was very surprised when she got very mad at me, but I only learned later that she had perceived me as saying:
'Is there sugar cane in your a.s.s?'

Great question. Don't have one for you right now, but some of the ANSWERS on this website are really...well, let's say hilarious. Especially those posted by the wannabe experts in the expert sections, such as science.
Suggestion: post this in the jokes and riddles section and see what interesting answers (I mean questions) you get.

I agree with Sarayu. Poepies, What's the definition of civilized? I fail to see that English = civilization. Some of the most barbaric acts were carried out by English-speaking people eg. The Anglo Boer War. What about the world wars? Those wars were carried out by English-speaking people, 'civilized' people!

Poepies, if Diesel has the right opinion on this civilized issue, I apologize for my answer! I'm just curious about yr opinions on this website since you've made some really disturbing comments on Yahoo Answers recently with at least racist undertones (if not blatant racist) - When Arch asked questions

"Sarayu" - Try learning how to read properly. Plus, while you're at it, try learning how to spell or at least how to use a spell checker.
Perhaps you could try to "culltivate" some humour somewhere.

Sorry Poepies (Poepies, haha), I can't think of a question right now, but I felt like answering Sarayu.

thumbs-up for you :-)

British have ruled Zimbabawe and Zambia, namely Southern and Northern Rhodesia respectively, and the people of both these countries speak fluent English. About 'civililsed'- how civilised are you to think, others as lowest of the lowest? What in you has given that air of arrogance to think low of others? You people, first correct your English, as I find lot of mistakes in every question from the so called civilised people. in an anxiety to have abbreviations for everything on earth, including 'lol', English has been totally forgotten. Try to culltivate the habit of treating human beings as human beings. I don't want your 10 points.
