Looking to dive deeper into shooting. Right now I have a Mossberg 500 and an old Enfield Mk1 No. 4 from WWII that I refinished.

I'm looking to get into the 21st century, haha. The SIG 556 looks AWESOME. But the M1A looks like it packs a bigger punch and is probably more accurate. I don't shoot very often. I have a farm in Michigan (I live in Chicago) that I go up to 2x a year to shoot. Which one would I have more fun with?

Did you guys know its LEGAL for someone who is 18 years or older to open carry a weapon without a permit. www.opencarry.com . I understand you don't want to believe it or think you know everything but it is perfectly legal cops in VA say its ok (i have asked personally) you can legally go around and carry a shotgun on your back and pack a pistol on your belt at the age of 18. Please dont just answer and tell me im wrong because ill thumbs you down for being wrong and providing false information on a topic. Weather you like it or not its the law take it up with your congressman if you live in VA and dont like it. State laws are allowed to make laws that the fed government says is illega. CA legal to use pot for medicinal purposes but illegal from the federal governement. No state or local cops will bust someone with a "caregiver" card but FBI or DEA can go in and arrest any of them. Know the laws.

I'm trying to start hunting with a bow. But I didn't want to pick up a new $200 bow if i was just starting. So I picked up an old "obsolete" Pearson bow for $35 bucks. It needs a new string, but thats about it. Then I heard that another guy was selling a brand new bow for about $50 bucks. I think it was called a Buckmaster. I'm thinking about selling the bow I just bought and buying the $50 bow.

According to wikipedia, they are not nearly as big as portrayed in Jurassic Park, so I'm thinking .308 would be sufficient.

Don't believe in guns but I want something that would cause a second thought in someone's mind when breaking in but without hurting anyone one. Had a few break-ins in my apt. bldg.. Perhaps a dart that can knock a person out for a few minutes.

thanks--

Ok, I need help settling a debate with a friend of mine. He says that Glock makes a stock or factory finish two-tone Glock. Black polymer frame and stainless slide. I have never seen one in any gunshop nor on any website. Does anybody know if they do or not. If Big D answers this question (my friend in question) mark him with a bad flag....LOL.

I have been looking for a high quality backpack that will not break or rip or just plane fall apart on me I thought that Duluth pack would be a good choice but was told that this was a big mistake for hiking so...

Do you know or have any high quality backpacks that are made out of canvas or other tuff fabric that i have overlooked
(i would prefer to have a frame and the backpack should be really big)
