Forget ATI stocks for the SKS, go with a Tapco stock and you can't go wrong.

I see the above answers all want to poo-poo your idea....... Fact is -there are a lot of beat up SKS rifles out there..... and NO many do not want to replace there beat up crappy stocks with some plastic aftermarket nonsense stock...... Norinco SKS rifles do have a certain collector value and I do see someone coughing up a few dollars for a stock in beautiful condition...... All you need is the right guy at the right moment to sell it at a decent price...... I'm going to stick my neck out and say a very decent refinished stock should fetch $50 or more to the right guy........

Tapco makes the best stock for the SKS, and by going with their american made stock it takes points off the rifle and allows you to get away legally with adding other things that were covered in the assault ban. For more info on what I mean, and a list of their american made parts, go to tapco's website and check it out.
Good luck

I used a Choate Conventional on mine and it worked real well. I used it for a short range deer rifle. The TAPCO T6 was not available when I had mine but it looks kinda cool too. What ever you get be sure to keep you original stock in case you sell the rifle.

A Tapco product will probably be your best bet into making it a tactical rifle. If you're thinking of making it a long range gun I wouldn't recommend it because the 7.62x39 is not great for ranges beyond 200 yards(I've only killed stuff with it out to 150). Now this is what I told my friend with an SKS wanting to make it tactical: with the money that you spend on the SKS and getting the stock and accessories to make it a tactical weapon, you might as well just get an AK 47. I've seen them at shows as low as $350, and you don't need to modify it make make is a kick butt weapon. So what I suggest to you is this: sell your SKS to a friend, put together that money with your stock money and a little extra and get an AK 47. It is far superior to the SKS.

I put the ATI Fiberforce on one of mine, With the way the grip is made I noticed quite a bit more control. Which lead to a little better accuracy

Tapco stocks are the ultimate in looks and performance.
Anything else is a waste of hard-earned money.
