I would love to take my 8mm out this year for deer. I was wandering what is the most powerful 8mm ammo on the market for hunting? Thanks a lot.

Which gun do you think I should get? A Weatherby varminter in 30-06 at walmart for $430 or a Ruger M77 Compact in .308 at SportsmansWharehouse for $580? This will mostly be for target shooting with the occasional deer hunting trip.

Alright, Im a 16 yr old from michigan i want to start tying flies for fly fishing and possibly making my own bait/lures. For the most part i just want to start a small tackle shop from my home like in my shed or garage.. i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what i need for this project and if theres anything specific i need to have in the shop any answers are appreciated

I'm 19 and I own a Glock 19 9mm. Why do I get dirty looks from people when they see my gun like they are all scared or something. If I wanted to do something I wouldn't open carry it. I do that to let people know not to rob me or not to commit acts of violence in my presence. If I saw someone else with a gun in their holster I would feel safer not scared... I live in Virginia btw its completely legal for people 18+ to open carry a firearm without a permit.

To those who don't know the law and decide to give their own 2 cents to me completely unrelated to my question, learn the law please?

What If instead of loading a black powder revolver with a seated roundball, i used a patch and seated a .36 FMJ bullet? I put one down the barrel once, It just slid down like butter, with not a micron of gap to spare!
I'm just curious, would it be able to engage the rifling in the barrel? Or would it just tumble? Thanks!

I found a lot that is 22x650', a little over 3.1 acres. It is in the middle of nowhere, no electricity, no water, etc. It will be a "members only" range for smaller weapons like .22 LR, air guns, .410 or 28 gauge shotguns, maybe .22 WMR's. The back 75' of the land rises about 12'. The land on either side is not as flat and not a great building site. The chances of finding neighbors building anytime soon is slim. Way beyond the back side is a home, about 1/2 mile away. Their property line reaches this property line, but its all brush and woods, as well as the other side of the hill. This is a rough idea of what it would lay out like...

Whats the highest grain bullet I can get for a 30/30 winchester rifle, 9mm handgun, and a .40 S&W? And for the rifle question.. I'm looking at the ruger m77 compact rifle. I want one in .308 but the sporting goods store i go to only has the .243 version.. Would this be just as good for deer? This is the only rifle store i can go to so going anywhere else isn't going to happen.

This has come up twice now. Where people have claimed they are getting a full auto M4. The M4 was made in ~1993 and classiii only work for pre1986 guns. I am not talking about someone buying an m-16 lower and putting a short barrel and adjustable stock on it.

To make the AR 3 round burst what needs to be modified or special parts that need to be put in the rifle and make it ATF legal? I'd like to have a pistol lower so I can keep the option of keeping pistol parts on it or turning it into a rifle. I guess its not legal to take a rifle and put a short barrel on it.
