I'm going to science camp with my school. We stay there for four days and the list of stuff I need says I need four pairs of pants. But all my pants are nice jeans. Should I wear my jeans? They might get dirty and I'll have to replace them (for $66.00). Or I could buy four pairs of different pants. Tell me if I should wear my jeans and replace them later, or get new pants; tell me what kind.

I haven't gone camping since I was about 12, so I have absoultely no camping gear, unless you count my princess sleeping bag that will probably go to my waist.

He has no camping gear either, because he just moved out and everything he had was his parents.

So we're going shopping for all new stuff, stuff thats really strong and durable so they will last for a long long time. Price isn't important to us at all..

If you have any camping gear that you absolutely love, give us a link to the store name.

Most likely we'll be shoppping at target/walmart/academy

We need a checklist to make sure we don't forget anything, because once we go, we're going for a week, and were not coming back for anything. And we're camping in the middle of now where, so we can't go buy anything.

Anything helps, we don't mind long lists!

Thank you very much for your time!

Me and my bf are going camping for the first time together.

I haven't gone camping in years, so i don't have anything I need for it, and neither does he.

So we need to go out and buy brand new stuff.

Where we're camping, there are not toilets/showers/campers/cabins/etc. The only thing they have is a small crick, and a water pump that has cold water. It's about a 19 hour drive from civilization, so we can't go back for anything.

I need help creating a checklist of must haves! Don't worry about the price, we want quality items that will last for years to come.

What could really help is if you find a site with the item itself (ex: if you went camping, and really liked an item, then find it and post a link/pic of it)

Thank you very much!

Do you prefer tent camping , pop up , or full camper? Do you like the more commerical campgrounds with all the facilities or a quiet lake with mostly nature to occupy you?

I'm planning our camping trip for next summer and need some ideas for a 7 year old while we camp at Rocky Mountain National Park. Does anyone know if they do a fireworks show? Easy trails that she could keep up on? Any recomendations on camp grounds within the park? We camp a lot in eastern nebraska all summer, but mountains will be different. Will it get really cold at night? I've been there once, but it was soo long ago I don't remember the details. Also any recent prices would be helpful. Thanks in advance! Any ideas welcome!

Can it be done? We're thinking of getting a tent and all the gear and going camping (just locally, in South Wales or the West Country) this year, but our son will only be 18 months old in May (we'd be planning to go around July/August time).

I'm just not sure whether it would be a good idea to do so with a little one - worries about insect bites, it being too cold for him at night etc. I'd appreciate advice from any experienced campers on this, also what sort of equipment we'd need to get.

A buddy and I go camping every summer; sometimes for very long periods on end. We have never had any issues on just camping wherever until the last couple years. Is there a way/place to purchase a small amount of forested area in the western U.S. so we can know that we are camping safely and legally? Hoping for an acre of less since we a hoping to purchase a few spots if we can. Thanks for all the info.

Just doing a little preparation for a camping trip me and a few friends are going on over new years... We have a small gas cooker, could you please give any suggestions on what food is easy to arrange when camping?

We will be camping at a lake, where we can drive to. So no hiking involved. We will take our boat and hope to catch some trout, but no guarantees. Closest little settlement for food and petrol will be one hour away. Because of summer holidays, hunting is not allowed.

I'm going cold wether camping this January. I've gone a couple other times with friends and froze my butt off, but still had fun. This time, I'm going with my Venture Crew and I don't want to look like an idiot. ANY tips and advice that I can compile and add to my barely sufficient knowledge of cold weather camping would be welcome! Please tell me about gear, routines, whatever.
Thanks!

Theres a type of sleeping bag that has zippers at your feet and your arms so incase you need to get up, you don't have to get out of your sleeping bag, you just unzipper your feet or your arms (or both) and you can walk around with it kinda like a coat.
<
I need to know what those kinds of sleeping bags are called or what the actual feature is called.
<
I know all the websites are that sell sleeping bags, i need help with a SPECIFIC bag cause i did EVERY search i can think of and they turned up NADA.
