With forecast lows in the 20's and highs in the low 40's for the next week in much of Maryland, essentially you'll be winter camping, which is inherently dangerous if you don't have the right gear and skills. Hopefully your boyfriend's troop knows what they're doing.

I don't know how much snow has fallen or accumulated, but even if it's just wet and cold you'll have to bring proper clothes from head to foot. Some sort of waterproof shoes or boots, two or more layers and changes of warm socks, long underwear made of synthetic fabrics, multiple insulating layers of wool, fleece, down, and synthetic puffy, and an outer layer of windbreaker coated nylon material, and if it might rain or snow a lot waterproof pants and jacket of Gore-Tex or heavy PVC raincoat and pants, plue fleece or woolen type hat, scarf, lots of layers of mittens and/or gloves with plenty of spares.

It'd be nice if the troop or your boyfriend, or someone had gear for you to borrow, because a mummy style sleeping bag, rated to 20 degrees, is essential in those temperatures, along with a full length sleeping pad. There are three REI stores in Maryland which rent sleeping bags and pads at reasonable prices. http://www.rei.com/FindStores?state=MD&radius=900. I would advise against bringing any cotton lined rectangular sleeping bags you have at home, because even a pair of them spread open and shared with your friend will be heavy, drafty, and still not as warm as a mummy bag.

Otherwise, you might want to bring your pillow, a flashlight with new batteries, personal hygiene products, baby wipes, a water bottle (such as a 1 liter soda bottle), bandana, lip balm, lotion, hairbrush, Purell, a whistle in case you get lost...

With Boy Scouts along I'm sure you won't have to worry about building fires, cooking, chopping wood or any whittling that needs to be done. But you should try to join in whatever fun they're having, not sleep in too late, go hiking with them if they go hiking and offer to do some chores. I'm not saying this is you, but I've seen a lot of that from girls I've taken camping.

Something about your story, I was a Scout Master for the Webelows, we never allowed girls on the outings. But anyway, wear thermals, jeans, socks, boots, and layer tops as in t-shirt, long sleeve thermal shirt, layered with fleece or insulated flannel. A down jacket at night and a down vest during the day. On Scout camping we stayed quiet busy to stay warm. Take plenty of hot cocoa, marshmellows and wieners.

Sleeping bag and food. Make sure the troop leader is prepared to have a girl along. They could be in big trouble if you were compromised. I went on a search and rescue at that age and we built shelters in the snow,it was fun. The first group to the top built the shelters and we two girls were in the group that stayed to garter firewood for base camp before joining them. The man in charge assigned us to the shelters from the first group so we slept with boys, nothing happened but when we got back to base camp they were afraid my parents would find out and the other girl's dad was in base camp.

Camp Rock will definitely beat HSM because of the Jonas Brothers. But I can't wait for both movies. I love HSM3.

As long as you are warm, have food in your belly and something to read or do, you will probaby really enjoy your camping trip. A warm sleeping bag is essential, even to wrap around you cosily near the fire (be careful though that it doesnt get to hot and catch fire). Take plenty of munchies.

don't wear jeans (or any cotton outerlayers) if there is snow on the ground. if they get wet they won't dry and you'll be really cold.
