.38 was the mainstay of almost every police force in the US at one time or another. Unless burglar in as big as an elephant you have nothing to worry about. Most criminals are allergic to lead big or small.

Yes, some cops carry this size. Any gun will take a burglar down(within reason).

Any gun can take down a burglar, but you're better off getting a shotgun - the cocking sound alone is enough to scare off most burglars.

in all seriousness yes the 38 spacial is more than big enough to take down a burglar

a 38 will take down a badguy just fine, As long as you do your part and make sure the rounds hit him or her

Like I explained to you in a previous question, shot placement is paramount. You can take big game even with a .22LR round if you hit the right place. You can shoot a .500 S&W magnum at a target, but if you miss, it is NO good.

Yes, of course it will! Although it probably won't kill them in one shot unless your a good aim, it is still more than sufficent!

dont try head shots, the common domestic burglarus americanus has a very thick skull so heart or throat shots are more effective.
