When Christians speak of Jesus, they ALWAYS call Him Jesus Christ, that is, Jesus, the anointed one. Their church is called Christian, not Jesian, to honor this anointing. Yet the person who anointed Jesus from her alabaster jar of nard is reviled by the church and called a prostitute.

Who anointed your bishop and priest to give them the holy orders that they follow? Was it a prostitute? Or someone as important or more important than those who received the oil?

Why do Christians hate the person who made them "Christened?"

Have you seen the prices they want for secluded island fortresses?
And henchmen aren't cheap, either.
Not to mention the lasers, shark tanks, etc....

What's the best way for me to raise money for these schemes?
Should I set myself up as a non-profit?

We non-believers in Christianity often point out the horrific acts performed by the Christian God in the Bible. For example, his ordering of people to kill women and children and to rape virgins, for Abraham to sacrifice his son (even though he later changed his mind), and many other accounts of his blood thirst. In a question recently asked by another non-believer, many Christians responded to the question that “God is not evil” and “There is only one God.” My question is: If there is only one god and he is not evil, then who is he? The god depicted in the bible is clearly evil. Is there a God that is different than the one depicted in the bible? If you contend that the god depicted in the bible is not evil, then what is evil? Killing, rape, and condemnation of those with different beliefs are all things that I was always taught were defining of evil. If those are not evil, than what is evil?

With so many diffrent religions out there what makes you as an individual think that you are a follower of the "right religion. I use the term "right" not to imply that some religions are right and other wrong because i personally do not believe that but, i want to know why other people think they are right and that thousands of others are mistaken. Please no beacuse it says so in the bible, tora, karan ect...or because this is just what you have been taught since you were small ( we all know that just because soemone told us soemthing was true doesnt nessecrally make it true, for example how many of us were told santa existed only to lean that he doesnt exsit at all) i want you to look with in yourself and tell me truley why you believe you are on the right path.

whenever i ask a question about the bible being in contradiction with science i usually get a few responses from believers stating something to the effect of god not being bound to the laws of science. is there anywhere in the bible that it actually says this, or are you just assuming this?

On CNN there's a Polish man who just came out of a 19 year long coma. What do you think it would be like to be in a coma? Is it like sleep? Would you go to heaven or hell or whatever afterlife you believe in for that period of time? Purgatory? All opinions are welcome.

What do you think are valid examples of generational sin?

Alcoholism, tobacco addiction and drug addiction is prevalent in my family. I believe these are all generational sins passed down and not "diseases". Do you agree?

at school, your kids are being bullied for their religious beliefs, and what's more, the teachers do nothing about it, even though you have spoken to them, and your child has told them exactly what is going on.

it seems that in revelations he is god.
but not in matthew, luke etc.

he says he was sent by god & that he can do nothing except that the father god gives the power.
could it be that god has a son in heaven at that time and gods sons spirit went into jesus at his baptism from john the baptist???
was maybe jesus 100% man??
when he was on the cross gods sons spirit left him & he became again 100% human???
can anyone really help me to understand.???

Luke 6:12 One of those days Jebus went to a mountinside to pray, and spent the night praying to god.

Many people who believe in God believe that He is a sadistic egomaniac who tortures honest truth-seekers who make honest mistakes. In response to another question somebody said, " Evolution is false. God will punish those who denie his hand in what has been created." If that's God, then He's an evil god. So, from a believer's point of view, who's worse, those of us who don't belleve in God, or those who make God the personification of their own hatred?

Think about it.He was a man and men have certain needs.Yet people say that Jesus never had a wife or had a woman.Which is highly odd for those days.Even the Bible has an interesting passages:

"So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep." John 21:15-17

Why was Jesus so intent on knowing if this guy loved him?
