We are the clay, and God is the molder. Would a building (if it could speak) say about it's builder "I have no builder" -No!
How can you think you are above Him?
He made all of us! Those who do not believe, or have ill feelings towards God, do not know God....how can you question Him, when He is the one who is above you?

Isaiah 29:16
You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, "He did not make me"? Can the pot say of the potter, "He knows nothing"?

I love God with my whole heart but just hate it when others say its Gods will. And no im not mad at God. i just wonder how people think that will make you feel better? I lost a baby ...had a stillborn and i constantly hear its Gods will. will it be wrong if i say you know thats kind of rude if your older child died tommorrow would you like to hear its Gods will. of course i will not say it in those words but i will say yes it looks like it was his will but you know it hurts when you rub it in.

from what i've been told jesus suffered and died to pay for our sins. wouldn't this mean that god would have to torture and kill him then, in stead of the jews doing it? in fact the bible teaches us they killed him because he was going around claiming to be the son of god. nowhere does it ever mention the jews saying they were killing him to pay for all of mankind's sins.

Point of view: Scientists - The big bang, fits in with a lot of our observations of the universe (not all) and is the best estimate we can make. However there are some holes and the concepts involved in its creatin is beyond the comprehensability of most (if not all)

Point of view of most religions - Some deity created the universe, in some by accident and in some through intent. It nicely explains everything about the universe and allows most to continue their lives in a content way. However it is not very scientific and can be considered 'simplistic' or remnants of a old way of living

Seriously though, we'll never know, we can make assertations and educated guess but to declare one way 100% correct is foolish.

First of all, I'm a 33 year old male. My family was very religious and members of th Baptist church. For other reasons, I was never baptised. I didn't really attend church much during my teenage years and kind of grew apart from religion.

In college, a teacher got me involved in going to services at an Episcopal church. I am not sure if I went more for show or what. Out of embarrassment I told them I had been baptised and went through the Episcopal confirmation process. Thats the problem since I'm doing this in reverse.

Recently I had a very deep change of heart and would like to take steps toward becoming Christian and becoming a member of the Baptist church. I am looking into getting an adult baptism BUT would there be a problem since I went through the confirmation process first? Also how does one actually request an adult baptism?

The Pledge of Allegiance was created in 1892. In its original form the pledge did not contain the words "Under God." In 1954 the words "Under God" were added to the pledge.

My Question is this. With regards to families and morals, was the United States a better place before we added the words "Under God" or after?

I have an honest question for the religious members of our audience. What makes you believe in your religion? Is it a feeling in your heart when you're at services? Is it a promise you made to a loved one? Did it help you get out of a difficult point in your life? I'm genuinely interested to know. Thanks in advance!

There are so many religions that have strange views, why do so many people feel the need to slander the LDS church? They have really helped many communities around the world and provide so much money and help for disaster relief. It seems like the apple wouldn't fall to far from the tree if you know what I mean. Why don't people look at the fruit more? Does anyone really have a complaint against Mormons or is the world just filled with uneducated bigots?

Recently I answered this question, Should Catholics interfere in the democratic process by threatening withdrawal of communion from politicians? http://sg.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070604051109AAVMM8D&r=w&show_comments=true&pa=FZB6NWHjDG3N56z6v_2zVk6vr1avmUP_t_BNgVn4mFPtd3IVbnMricsyQieIoDt1S1ef3UXPb4S2cXh1dWQ_ZQ--&paid=add_comment

and here was my answer:Pastor Billy says: interfere? you're not a goat, you're a jack@ss. Like anyone else in a democratic society Catholics have every right to contribute to the governance of the democratic process and to promote what is moral law and be true to their own moral conscience in doing so. The Church is playing it's role as a responsible religious teaching authority on the moral law when it chooses to restrict access to the sacrament for those in opposition to the moral law and place themselves in a reality of not being ready for the sacrament. This action of restriction is out of concern primarily for the individual soul. You obv

Repeatedly on YA, I read that the "taw"or cross was orginally the symbol of Tammuz. I know that this idea came from Rev Hislop who wrote The Two Babylons. But he doesn't put forth any evidence in his book to directly connect Tammuz with the cross, except that Tammuz begins with the letter T.

The Bible seems to contradict Mr. Hislop's conclusion. Ezekiel 9:4 says that God told Ezekiel to put a taw mark (Heb) on the foreheads of his people who were crying over the abominations being practiced in Israel. One such abomination was women weeping for Tammuz mentioned earlier, in Ezekiel 8:14.

If Hislop is correct that the taw - Tammuz' initial- was the "sacred initial" &"recognised symbol" of Tammuz, then Jehovah was telling Ezekiel to mark his faithful worshipers with the mark of Tammuz.

So I have two questions .

1. Is there any REAL evidence that the taw was identified with Tammuz, and

2. Why did Jehovah want his people to be marked with the sign of Tammuz?
