I have felt unexplainable forces in my life. Keeping me from harm, and at times, really saving my life on more then one occasion. I believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. They keep me safe and happy :)

When i was a child i had seizures. Doctors gave my parents no hope. I had seizures regardless of the medication. The Doctors told my parents that i was going to be a vegetable. My mother took me to a preacher that prayed for me...he asked me if i believed that i was healed. I told him yes. i was eight years old, i am now 30 and i have never had a seizure after that night.
It was not just that. I always felt a presence with me. A comfort that was always there. There have been other things in my life that have happened that defy explanation. So to answer your question. My belief is not from tradition...it is from experience.

I remember when i believed. It was cuz of religious indoctrination. Someone would ask me, "Why do you believe in your particular god?" All i could say was "Cuz i know my god is real." Sad reason eh? Well thats what happens when a belief is pounded into your head for 16 years...
I'm sure i've felt "god in my life"...or what i would consider as giving credit to god for that sense of well-being you get when you truly believe in what the bible teaches.
I think others just play the process of elimination, eliminating the religions that don't make as much sense to them...which is pretty ridiculous.

For me if you really want to know, it goes so much deeper than belief. I am a Christian, I have a "personal relationship" with my creator. I talk to him each morning, each day. I enjoy reading his word, knowing the thruths and promises that he has "hidden inside just for me" You can not "make promise to a loved one" and then do so freeley A Christan loves God, because he first loved us, Not for anyother reason. When I lay down at night, I KNOW for certain that my God is watching over me, my family, my nation. If I die, or my wife, or my children, eventhough my heart would break and I would morne, I know that My God has only the absolte best planed for me and mine who are called by his name.
This relationship, can not be given, erned, tought, sold, or bought. It is just like the perfect love of a Father for his child, from a father who only wants the very best for his children, and loves to spend time with them. there is nothing too big, nor too small for my God, he is never too busy, to involved, or uniterested. He does not always say yes, I do not always get what I want. I have problems, troubles, and sorrors, but he is there to walk with me through it all. those without God, I just do not know how they make it.
All I can say is this. If you realy want to know God, Humble your heart, humble your self and seek his preasence through prayer. Nothing fancy, nothing longwinded, just honest openhearted prayer. Do not do this hafharted, do not mock God, but if you do this with a clean heart, God will make himself know to you.
My spell check just quit working do excuse the errors.

Not only is it a religion, GOD has been there for me when no one else was. I have been in some very difficult situaltions and GOD have always bought me out of my problems. I don't mean to sound corny but HE might not be there when you think HE should but HE is always on time.

Norse Heathenry is my ancestral, indigenous, cultural folkway. It is the historically documented, verifiable ethnic religion of my pre-xian ancestors.
I believe, because it speaks to me from the burial mounds of my Line . . . many of whom, contrary to another poster above, DID gladly accept martyrdom for their heathen beliefs rather than bow the knee to Rome. Their mighty examples, and the virtues and thews by which they lived, provide me with moral and ethical guidance and structure for my own life, and a worldview which still makes sense today.

FAITH--NOT SEEING IS BELIEVING.
I walk in faith. I believe what the Bible says is true. Also, I am a born-again Christian. The Holy Spirit dwells inside of me. The Lord has made His prescence known in my life, by showing me the way of His love. His word is the TRUTH!!!! And that's all He can speak. God gave us His Word, so that we may know Him. Read the Word.

In no other religion did people refuse to change because of what they witnessed, as did the early Christian martyrs.
They were men and women of peace, as was Jesus.
To be good, is good. Give love, and you receive love.
