Forgive the narcissists rather than despise them.
Pray for them in secret, as to not stir them to anger.
If you want to witness to them, respectfully ask them if you may do so - unless you're prepared to be insulted or walked away from while you're in the middle of talking. If they walk away while you're still talking, don't say another word and don't be upset. At least you tried. Persistently pursuing anyone who refuses your open prayers at them and/or witnessing to them is a form of harassment, even though you have good intentions.

God calls every individual at some point in their life. Whether or not a person chooses to answer that call is up to them. You can't do it for them and they will only change through God (just as you said) so your prayers regarding bringing someone to a belief in God is without purpose. All you can do is tell them of your own personal relationship and experiences with God. The choice has to be theirs.

God can change anyone...but that is up to the Master of life...

As badly as we would like people to change, often hurting themselves it does not happen...

How can one pray and witness to a difficult person? Is do not force it, show love; tell them about the love of God and what he did for you and walk on. Pray with and for that person,do not get involved in their mess....Leave them alone for a while...let God do the rest.

Your witness is always best when you are just being yourself. Let your caring show through, not so much by what you say but by what you do. Just remember this person is loved by God - unconditionally. Can you do the same?

90% of Americans are narcisistic! They have to take responsibility and heal themselves with God's help.

I can tell you what NOT to do.
-Don't let yourself get angry.
-Don't argue with them.
-If they really don't want to hear it, don't push the issue. That's how walls get built and then they post stuff on Yahoo! Answers about how they don't like Christians.

Be at peace and pray for them with sincerity.

Hold a mirror up for them while you pray! While they are looking into the mirror, get down on your knees, unzip, and prey on them. You will having yelling 'OH GOD' in about a minute.
