The Bible states that He laid down His own life and that no man took it from Him. Yes, the Jews were trying to kill Him, but that would be impossible in as much as He is God and God can not be killed. He paid a debt He did not owe, because I owed a debt I could not pay!

Actually it was....
the Romans physically
the Jewish aristocracy who willed and brought it to pass
the God, Existance, a higher power or who everyou believe made the universe who allowed it
..... but in the end Mankinds propensity to sin was the reflection of the act, ( and the most important and influential protagonist)
Jesus' will to die so that others may bare witness to an ultimate act of turning the other cheek, makes us realize that no matter how we are treated spreading love as oposed to spreading violence and hate is the only route Mankind has to ensure its eternal existance....
we have to imitate Christ in order to survive as a civilization.. through chaos only certain extinction awaits us.

Romans killed him on a cross. Killing one person does not have any effect on bad deads others have committed. The Jews where under Roman rule and had no power. But this is all more than 2000 years ago and not really relevant in our time.

God sent Jesus to earth for the purpose of taking your punishment for sin, as well as mine and every other person who has ever lived, or ever will live. The Jews didn't kill him, the Romans did, with the approval of the jews. Whatever they thought was their reason is insignificant. His death and resurrection was all part of God's plan. He did it for us, and the punishment that Jesus suffered for us in incomprehensable.

No he didn't you dope, Jesus was crucified because he claimed to be the son of God and the messiah that the Jews had been waiting for. He died for our sins in order to save humanity.

The followers of the fictional christ were the ones who wrote that he died for "our" sins. It's like with any cult who's leader is killed, he grows to martyr status and the stories are exaggerated to the point of attaining super-human abilities. And who can prove it never happened? Nobody can because the book was written YEARS after the occurences so for all we know the book could've been based on hearsay and fantasy stories passed down by word of mouth from generation to generation. There's no way to confirm any of it.

¶ Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put [him] to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
He shall see of the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors." ~Isaiah 53:10-12
YES! It was GOD's WILL, because JESUS and GOD are the same spirit, (along with the Holy Spirit). GOD made HIMSELF to BE MAN, to walk among us in the very same temptations that we face, and in all the physical, mental, emotional, financial horrors that are upon us. GOD did this to show mankind that they NEED A SAVIOR, and since GOD is SPIRIT, HE had to come in the immaculate conception by indwelling Mary with His 'seed' (by the Holy Spirit). There was nothing sexual about this; it was all conception. Likened to invitrofertilization.....
GOD is SINLESS, 100% withOUT SIN.....and even as he was born of a woman, he still was 100% "man" likewise. YES! GOD DID KILL HIMSELF, but it was in YAHSHUA"S will to CHOOSE....and thank the LORD HE CHOSE to be tortured for us worthless bastards!!!
The Jews conspired with the help of the fallen Lucifer and his foothold in their hearts; that being, their LOVE OF THE WORLD SYSTEM< THEIR LOVE OF THEIR POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY AND AS BEING REVERENCED BY THE commoners, the everyday people.
Many played a part,. but what it ultimately comes down to is that it WAS GOD's WILL that JESUS give HIMSELF as a LIVING SACRIFICE for the souls of all mankind. ALL we have to do is choose to believe this, and give our lives to Christ YESHUA; being transformed into the likeness of Christ, and daily seeking HIM thru His WORD, and by prayer, study of the WORD and thru PRAISE, WORSHIP and SHARING THE GOSPEL WITH ALL WHO WILL HEAR AND BELIEVE.
CHRIST IS KING! amen!!!
