Please no hateful answers, I'm just interested in knowing a little about Islam. Not to convert but just simply to gain information. I think there are almost about as many Christians as there are Muslims. I'm curious as to what our Muslim brothers and sisters believe.

If evelution is true, and the world just keeps on getting to
a better, bigger stage. Things keep evolving and getting
better. Then why is the sun, which is the entire reason life
is sustained on our planet Earth, running down and losing
size. This cannot be if evelution is a true reason for our
earth's existence.
If man existance is through evelution, were his qualities such as love, hate, understanding also evolved..from bacteria, algae or apes whatever?.
There are a million questions unanswered from Evelutionists and they have one question in return, where is the unseen Creator God!

It's really strange.

Night after night, "you'll burn in hell", "Who'll be laughing come judgement day?"

It makes about as much sense to us as saying the Easter Bunny's angry with us.

Is it because they run out of rational arguments to put forth?

my bf tells me that before he met me he was very religious. He is muslim and they are not allowed to have pre-marital relationships. Now he says that our different backgrounds have been on his mind and his parents are very strict. He wanted to talk to me about it but only face to face and because of distance and my exams we couldn't do that just yet.

My exams finished but i have since discovered i have cancer. he knows but i don't feel is supporting me as i would like. He cried last night, but is very abrupt and brief with my now like he has been with all his religious issues.

Is it really religion or do u think something else is going on? I want to meet him but will he break relations with me because of his religious views?... what shall i do? i feel really hurt, and right now the person i want near me the most is him. Am i fighting an extra battle i don't need right now?.. is religion going to break us up?

I've been puzzled by this one all my life.

People saying "what meaning is there to life if there's no god?"

What the?????

Why does life need to have a meaning?

We're all incredibly privileged to be able to go through this experience, but why does it have to have some sort of meaning?

Do people look for the meaning in the lives of other creatures?

Isn't it enough just to accept that we're alive......and make the most of it while we can?

The bible is ancient past, for me people who live by it live in the past. One can not change the past, one can not even live in the future. It is the here and now that matters. One can however change the future. It is important to realize that your actions have consequences. If you condemn someone to an eternity in hell because their ability to reason tells them christian, judaist and muslim philosophy does not make sense, then you create hostility between you and them. How can you preach about love and forgiveness and tolerance on the one hand and condemn someone to an eternity in hell on the other? Think, religious intolerance is a matter of cause and effect...

I have a relationship with God. But I'm sick of everyone getting caught up on the religion of things. The reason Christianity doesn't spread is because of Christians. I'm tired of hypocritical judgemental people. Jesus said Come as you are. He hung out with the prostitutes and tax collectors. We are supposed to be a light. Who are we to judge other people? Do you really put yourself with God so that you can judge others?

I am just a bit frusterated.

Why does it seem the majority of users on Yahoo answers lean toward atheism? Ask a question about the bible being true and you will get many more rude and adolescent responses than you would if you asked a question about the bible being fake.

We know for a fact that the US is mostly religious and most of us believe in god and are Christians.

So what is it?

All i can think of....is. All the atheists are the losers sitting on the internet 20 hours a day while the good god fearing Christian people of America work to provide for their families.

Does the fact that they have the "majority" on the net only PROVE their minority in this country? As outcasts that are afraid to speak up anywhere but in an anonymous environment?

Is the internet the last refuge of the coward?

I want to talk to spirits, to talk to ghosts maybe or angels. I want their help in something's that are worrying me a great deal.

How do I do that? I heard about the Ouija Board, and I don’t have it nor can I get it.

What are the ways that I can communicate with them, or even communicate with someone alive living with us through some sort of channeling??
Anyone have any answer to this

Bible wants to kill love Children
Bible wants to kill adulterous and illegitimate population of Bible Believers. Adulterous population has substantial ratio in Bible Believers.
Revelation 2:22-23 "Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works."
If anyone thinks Biblical Jesus represents only a peaceful loving soul, then think again. For an act of adultery, Bible would kill innocent children for the adultery of others; hardly fair justice, love, or the concern for human beings.
There are more than 41% love children in American population. If you believe in bible. The half of Christian population will be killed.....

You can't practise islam in a secular state. E.g. The day for prayers and rest is a friday, not sunday. You can't eat or handle pork products, you can't touch or be near dogsor pigs, women have to cover up, anti-apostasy laws have to be in place, sharia mandated punishments should be enforced, no interests on bank deposits, no interests can be charged for borrowing money, fasting during the holy month of ramadan, daily prayers have to be observe, etc, etc, etc.

With all these restrictions in place, how can a muslim reasonably practise his/her faith in a non-muslim country, where the laws and practices are so different?

Allah says your God is my God and it is obvious they are not the same God many Muslims agree, if this word of Allah is not true why believe Allah at all? He would have to exist before Muhammad and yet there is no evidence of his existance until after Muhammad.

I need some online references where a person can learn more about Catholic Religion.... an easy but yet pertinent information... call it a 'Sunday school info' for an adult who has let ignorance creep in his life...

See this is in the attempt to help out a person I love to learn more about his way that he claims to be of but is very ignorant about.
I feel deeply ashamed to ask for such a favor. I think if one claims to be of a Religion one should live it. so.

Anyways if just one person (AGAIN) calls any non-believer in Christian Religion a Satanist again I will get really ticked off. If one cannot be a non-Christian and in the same time attempt to try and help a mate whi IS a Christian to learn more about his ways than I don't know what is more tollerant.
Thank You.

GE 24:2-9, 47:29 "... put your hand under my thigh, and I will make you swear by the Lord ...." (Note: This means "put your hand under my testicles," which is the manner in which oaths were taken at the time; "testament," "testify," and "testicle" have the same root.)
GE 29:16-30 Jacob marries both Leah and her sister Rachel. He has children by both Leah and Rachel's maid Bilhah, but Rachel remains barren. Due apparently to Rachel's generosity to her husband, the Lord eventually allows Rachel to conceive.
GE 34:1-2 Shechem defiles Dinah.
GE 34:13-29 Hamor, his son, and the men of their village agree to be circumcised so as to be allowed to marry the daughters of the Israelites. On the third day, "when they were sore," the Israelites kill Hamor, his son, and all the men of the village, and plunder their wealth, taking their wives and children, thus getting revenge for the defiling of Dinah.

Let's say you're an employer, and you find out that one of your employees is a drugger. This drugger is only working to afford his drugs.
1-Would you feel guilty or responsible at least? Because you're indirectly funding his drug addiction.
2-Would you fire him?
