Allah says your God is my God and it is obvious they are not the same God many Muslims agree, if this word of Allah is not true why believe Allah at all? He would have to exist before Muhammad and yet there is no evidence of his existance until after Muhammad.

Rivert, respectfully speaking Abraham taught that the lord would provide himself a lamb...Moses taught of the tree of life... Isaiah said the Messiah would be a lamb of God and atone for sin...Jesus agreed and said no man comes to the Father but through the son and that the Father and Son were one.
John the Baptist did anounce Christ as the lamb of God...these are the prophets of God you think that Allah is the God of?

Adamjer I am Christian and I believe in One God. The idea of Muhamamd that the tinity is somehow refering to more than one God does prove Muhammad did not know the true God. god is Father son and Holy Spirit and they are one God. We are created int his image of God and we also are more than one part. God made man in this image having both flesh and spirit and the two are yet one man. It is the eternal spirit that makes man in God's image. Allah did not understand this truth of the God that existed before him and is a definite flaw that he claims to be the same God.

jenn you are exactly what I am speaking of. Did Allah say he was the God that was before Muhammad the God of Abraham? yet you say he is not this God? Do you intend to explain to your god that he is wrong? I definitely agree with you but in truth this makes your god a liar or non existant.

Muhammad, The name Allah does not make Allah god any more than the name Muslim makes one in submission to god. If I call my dog Allah it does not make my dog the creator does it? No it is simply a name. The true god i more than simply a name God he is the true creator of all that exist and he is not ina greement wiht the Allah of Islam. It is the reason many like some who have answered here aknowledge they are not the same god... if theya re not the same god then we need to figure why Allah is claiming to be a god he is not in agreement with and we have no history of this God before Muhammad...Muhammad could not have created him or he would not be the creator of the world...

2007-06-04 23:03:44 · update #6

Sorry Jenn I misinterpreted what you were saying..you believe the Christian God is the same as the Allah of Islam.
Which I find very interesting though I disagree strongly you are in agreement with your Allah. Allah of Islam teaches that Chrsit is not the savior yet Moses and Abrham and Isaiah and Jesus teach differently...not sure how these are the same god.

Moon appreciate your answer. The fact that Muhammad as well as Muslim miss in the trinity is that God is indeed one Christian worship one God. Moses gave us the answer to this in the first scriptures God gave us. God shows us his creation in Genesis and how man was created in his image and did fall from God's righteousness and how this equaled death. The image of God is reflected in our creation and mose did show how man was created above the animals in the image of God being both flesh and spirit and these are one man.
We are not seprerate beings butr we do have a body and a spirit and these do make up one living soul. God is not more than one God and yet he ahs parts which are Father and Son and Holy Spirit and these p[arts do make up one God... If Moses understood this and God who gave him this understanding did give us this in his first scriptures why would God forget this? surely Muhammad did not understand this meaning of the trinity which makes us wonder how Muhamamd could

have been speaking with the same God that Moses spoke with...these are not the same God yet Allah says theya re the same God... this dear friend is my problem with Muhammad and Allah.

Flames...when Moses gave man the first scriptures of God was he wrong?
Moses in Genesis say God said " Let us create man in our image" He goes on to show this creation in teh image of God to be a man having both spirit and flesh and these two are one man..one soul... man is created in the image of God with more than one part. Mose understood this image of God which made man one but having both body and spirit Moses clearly understood the trinity meant one God and yet Muhammad understood the trinity to mean more than one God...how can God give this truth to Moses and yet not reveal this truth to Muhammad? Muhammads message is not the same as the message given to the prophets of God.

Humble, this is nothing more than a word game...if i concede Allah is the Arabic meaning of the word god..It does not make the Allah of Islam the God of Abraham.

Masha If Allah revealed his truth to Moses and Muhammad why are the books of Moses not in agreement with Muhammad's Quran? Why are the prophets of God before Muhammad not in agreement with Muhammad? the Qu;ran says it is in agreement wiht the prophets of God and yet they are clearly not in agreeement. If this is the same God would he not agee with himself?

Syeed, Is this the teachings of Alalh that each scripture and prophet was only for a certain time? I am not so sure that is his teaching but it was not the teaching of the god that existed before Muhammad... his word will endure forever. If I recall from the Qu'ran 6 114 115 it says that the word of Allah never changes... and why should the word of an all knowing God change?

I agree wiht you angel they are different gods but why does your God want to be my God? He says he si the God of Abraham and we both know he is not...does this make Allah a liar? and when did he come into existance?

Asad He is the same God of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Zachariah, Mary, John, Jesus and Mohammad?
Do you have the written words of any of these who are in agreement with you?
moses told of most of these and the Qu'ran is not in agreement with the books of Moses... This book called the Qu'ran is in agreement with Muhammad and no other prophet of God. Well you do have the Qu'ran which is the words of Muahmmad and what he tells youa re thw ords of the others. The Bible has the actual words of the prophets and they are not in agreement with Muhammad, The Qu'ran or Allah whichever you prefer.

There is ONE God Allah, He is from ever to ever ...infact time is his creation and even time is huble to him.

Jesus is a Prophet. To him Allah's commandments were revealed! To Moses Allah's Commandments were revealed, and to All other Prophets Allahs Commandments were revealed as Allah willed. Prophet Mohammad is the last Prophet! Allah had already sent more than 100000, Prophets!
All believed there is Only ONE God. How can u say that before Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) No one told about GOD!

All Muslims agree on what I just said...We dont disagree!!
U need to learn more...IMHO.

Almighty GOD is ONE, call HIM by any name. But it should be a Beautiful one WITHOUT any Mental picture.

What we say that there is ONE GOD means HE is the same GOD for Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Athiests, Buddhists and all mankind.

Because GOD is ONE and for all mankind.

Therefore, if you say ALLAH, ELI, ELIAH, BRAHMA, all refer to GOD. We can best understand this from the Hindu Scripture example.

Hindus say GOD is Brahma. Which if translated into English means 'The Creator' and if translated into Arabic means 'Khaliq'

Therefore if you call Almighty GOD as 'The Creator' OR 'Khaliq' OR 'Brahma' it is ONE and the SAME.

BUT...

The trouble arises when the Hindus ascribe features to GOD that are NOT worthy for GOD. For example, they say Brahma is the GOD who has 10 heads, so and so hands, etc...

And this goes against the fundamentals of Islam, Judaism and Christianity (As per the Gospel of Barnabas) and even True Hinduism itself (Vedas are against this)...

Therefore, All religions speak about Monotheism BUT the True essence of Monotheism has now remained in Islam only as...

1. The Church has fabricated the Trinity and mis-lead the Chirstians from the True message of Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Him)

2. The Hindus do NOT read the Vedas and practice Idol worship which is against their own scriptures.

Why does GOD need a Son?? To look after HIM when HE retires???

Why do Christians accept the belief of trinity which was fabricated by the Church. Why dont they apply rational thinking and come to the Truth of the'Original message of Christ (PBUH)'???

Jesus Christ (PBUH) was 100% human. And he had no father. He was born to virgin Mary by the Will of GOD. Infact his birth was a Miracle. He was one of the Mightiest messenger of GOD NOT the Son of GOD.

Is there hierarchy in the Divine kingdom too??? If yes then even Almighty GOD gets into the 'finite' zone.

Therefore to compare the CREATOR with HIS Creation is a big sin. Almighty GOD has NO parallel with respect to HIS creation. HE is beyond imagination, beyond the finite limits of our brains.

No muslim ever disagree regarding God Almighty. He is the One who created this universe, you and me and everythin in. He is One and Only.

He is Allah..

The First: Nothing is before Him.
The Last: Nothing is After Him.
The Most High: Nothing is Above Him.
The Most Near: Nothing is beyond His Reach.
He Begets Not, Nor was He Begotten.
The Creator, Provider, and All-Rich.
The All-Seer, The All-Knower.
He is One and Self-Sufficient.
He is not Nature, or any part of it.
He ascended above His Throne, High above the Seven Skies.
No Vision can encompass Him, but
His Grasp is over all vision..

Such Is Allah
Nothing Is Like Unto Him
The All-Hear, The All-Seer

Evidence of God has always been there, as I believe. Yet sometimes people just don't see or ignore it, and that's why God sent us prophets like Muhammad, Jesus, and Moses to remind us of his existence in case we've forgotten.

As to why muslims disagree with Allah as you say, I truly think it's because these people haven't understood Islam the way they should just like some Christians or some jews or hindus... I hope I have answered your question my friend...

LOVE & PEACE

Some muslims say that our God is not the same as the 'Christian' or 'Jewish' God. 'Allah' is God ... He is the same diety.

We believe in Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, of all the seen and unseen. The same God worshipped by Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus(peace be upon them) AND Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him). The only difference is how each religion views Him and worships the Almighty.

Well unless your a pagan or polytheist your God is not the same. Other then that all Abrahamic religions are based on the same God. Allah(swt) the god of Abraham(pbuh).
Edit: Yes, it is said in the Quran, that Allah is the God of Adam, Adam was the first man.

Dear, djmantx
I try to answer the question you have asked adamjer. Islam and Mohamed does disagree with what you call trinity. The Almighty God the God of Jesus and Mohamed has clearly refused what christians call trinity and has said in his holy Quran the following
Sura Almaida verse 72, 73, 74, 75, 76
the commentary Follows also refers to some verses of the Bible that disagree with the trinity.
72 They do blaspheme who say: "Allah is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ: "O children of Israel! worship Allah my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with Allah Allah will forbid him the garden and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help. 782
73 They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy) verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.
74 Why turn they not to Allah and seek His forgiveness? For Allah is Oft-forgiving Most Merciful.
75 Christ the son of Mary was no more than an Apostle; many were the Apostles that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth makes His Signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth! 783 784
76 Say: Will ye worship besides Allah something which hath no power either to harm or benefit you? But Allah He it is that heareth and knoweth all things."

Comments and explanations
782 Cf. Matt. iv. 10, where Christ rebukes Satan for desiring the worship of other than Allah: John xx. 17, where Christ says to Mary Magdalene, "Go unto my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father; and to my God and your God." Cf. also Luke xviii. 19, where Christ rebukes a certain ruler for calling him Good Master: "Why callest thou me good? None is good, save One, that is, Allah." In Mark xii. 25 Jesus says: "The first of all the commandments is, Hear O Israel; the Lord our God is One Lord." (5.72)
783 She never claimed that she was a mother of God, or that her son was God. She was a pious virtuous woman. (5.75)
784 Note how logically the argument has led up from Jewish back-slidings and want of faith, to blasphemies associated with the names of Jesus and Mary, and in the following verses to the worship of senseless stocks and stones. Allah is One; His Message is one; yet how people's perversity transforms truth into falsehood, religion into superstition! (5.75)
